Consolidation above $380 would be incredible

If the price lingers above 380 then we are off to the races.

As always with bitcoin my only regret is not buying more when i had the chance Wink

consolidating on 380 means it is going to take a run at 400 in the near future ...

An hour or so?

There's no way we're gonna keep going, is it?

this is not being driven by any real news

It seems inevitable that the bids are going to have to be much higher than a lot of the bidders had initially considered to be within their expectations.

This auction is going to actually be interesting for once in terms of price playing. Bidders will be all over the joint. They might be staring down the possibility of an imminent vast profit and the last chance to buy a large amount at this level or shitting themselves at the idea of throwing millions away in the short term. I think the marshals will be left a bit bewildered at the variety of bids.

How much of a gap is there between the time bids need to be in and the winners receiving their coins? If the auction coincides with BTC in one of its bubble phases, it makes you wonder who'll be doing a better job of price discovery - the auction bidders or the retail markets...

yes and then no
yes - we have been going up in the past few days at first 1-2% per day then 3-4% now 10%.
this is not being driven by any real news but by ourselves just punting it up so it may well gone on for a while at even higher % increases
so yes we may well go to $500, $700 or $1000.

but then at some point we will collectively loose our nerve and be down to $200 ish in a few months after the ath.

its what happened when we hopped on the willy bot train and it will happen here again.

and long before willy bot there was a period when we rocketed to $31 and crashed to $2.

rinse and repeat

at what point do investment banks' trading arms and financial firms start trading bitcoin on their books like any other currency?

Wonder what the sentiment is in here vs. sentiment in a traders' thread, say, that of luc. New poll maybe, adam?

Problem with those "topped out or not" questions is that it's not really well defined, since you might disagree what constitutes the end of a trend in contrast to just a minor setback.

How about phrasing it like this:

What peak price (higher or equal to current peak price) will be reached on [enter your favorite exchange here] before a drop of 20% or more from peak value takes place?

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
My question to day traders is what % return are you happy with when playing in ratio
?

I'm hodling in huobi, because it's china :

It's all da china now  Cheesy

Watch them sell today and it all goes back to $230. Just so china can say eat it trumpiteers.

China remains a factor, but China is not leading the rally.

China has lost some credibility with the no fee exchanges and some of the lack of transparency regarding BTC holdings (trades)

I'm just guessing that maybe we can take a little breather at $666 in order to play a little numerology?

$666 seems like a decent point to take a breath, but it could be that the BTC market is a bit too hot for that.

I keep looking forward to the affect of the Fed auction on Thursday, and we will hear the results on Friday, with maybe some speculation between.

It seems inevitable that the bids are going to have to be much higher than a lot of the bidders had initially considered to be within their expectations.

You know Lord of the Flies? Imagine those kids all on crack?  And I mean just chaining rock after rock, no sleep, no food...
*This is apropos of nothing, of course. Any resemblance to what's going on here now is purely coincidental.

Who is the character Piggy?

We had to read that bull shit at school for an exam.

It's just a representation of the dynamics and representation of sociology and psychology...
