Banks in Greece won't open this week  Shocked
I doubt they will until some sort of agreement is reached with the Euro... they will maximize pain until the Greeks give in... or at least they'll try.

The banks are kinda out of money...

They defaulted on their payments to the Eurpean Central Bank. Greek banks are essentially finished.

and then the "GCB" shall fill those empty vaults with drachma.

Except there is no drachma anymore, so it would basically be greek IOUs. If you thought bitcoin was unstable...
Apparently some people are already issuing scrip to their employees...I don't have a source for that at hand though.

You're never too old to think young.
Good morning Bitcoinland.

No surprises I see. As expected we're going sideways in the $260s after the brief surge over $270.

Hopefully last week's $250s are in the past, just like the $240s of the week before.

Will we have to wait until next week for the next leg up?

Also predictably, the trollbears and negative Nellies are acting like a $5 dip is a big deal after a $15 rise. Pathetic.

Yawn. Mmmm, coffee.

I don't think there will be an agreement.
I'm not so sure, politicians will slime there way through this mess somehow... they've already gotten rid of the one man who was speaking any sense and the new guy looks like an amateur.

Edit: also, apparently 16 of the other 18 countries in the EU are in favour of Greece leaving the EU, but are willing to negotiate on keeping them in the Euro currency... a little hint that they are keen to keep them as debt slaves.

Yeah, that's kinda what I meant, the banks won't get any inflow of money from the EU until the Greeks give in so they will have to stay closed. They (the EU mob) are going to drag this out as long as possible to try and show the Greeks they need the banks to survive.

i would rather see 220 again. because we got plenty of time to go up, but we are running out of time to buy moar...... pretending like patching greece will somehow miraculously heal the failing 'interest to infinity' debt slavery system is delusional.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
Will go down for multiple days imo.
I've been around long enough to recognise the patterns.

There is NO real pattern, here.

BTC price movements are reflective of a variety of factors, including sentiment and up and down pressures.  This moment is NOT really a product of any specific pattern because we have NOT been to this moment in history previously.

The pattern is the magic number $266.

We might be stuck here for a while if nothing pushes it up quickly.

I kind of feel stuck too, but really, I have my doubts that we have a pattern, exactly because every point in history is different, and we have different market dynamics now, as compared with early 2015, when we were also stuck in the mid $200s...

Surely, I would like BTC prices to break out of this zone... but it may be a bit of a stretch to call our current price situation a pattern because it is very difficult to predict short-term future prices.

On the other hand, I think that it would be fair to say that there has been considerable downward price pressure in the last 18 months and in the past 6 months, there has been considerable difficulties to get BTC prices to stay below $220 for any sustainable period of time.  In this regard, it seems that there is more likely to be upward price pressures in the future... even though it remains possible that prices could be in the $200s territory for another 6-12 months.... I'm getting the sense that we are NOT going to have to wait 6-12 months for BTC prices to move into the $300s and to largely stay above $300.
