Bitcoin Tracker One (BITCOIN-XBT) notes -- daily trading summary:

Hey Jorge, do you have a thread for this and the BIT shares? They're good summaries and might be worth their own thread. Also, there appears to be a significant uptick in the volume of this one over the last week

My girlfriend has her own business & a lot of her supplies are made in China, it's the Dragon Boat Festival this weekend so literally all of China grinds to a halt this weekend. The factories that supply my partner emailed her to let her know there may be a delay with her deliveries. Any way I just thought I'd mention this here, might be a reason why the BTC price has dipped a bit if it's like holiday season in China, banks are closed etc.
You can read about the festival here -  http://www.chinahighlights.com/festivals/dragon-boat-festival.htm

That's useful, I only knew about the whole of China grinding to a halt for new year celebrations. The Dragon Boat Festival sounds like it has a similar effect if all the banks are closed because of it. That could make a big difference to Bitcoin's price on Monday morning.

greece won't drive up the price. those who have still money inside this country aren't smart enough for bitcoin. it's the average joes...

Doesn't matter, all it takes is a little hyperbole and euphoria to drive the price up. No one from Greece has to actually buy bitcoin.

KNC hasn't sold any freshly mined coins from 30.5. At least not from this wallet  Wink
https://blockchain.info/sl/address/1Afcdy7AaqwPkFFk2K6x5XaEHto1219LTX?offset=0&filter=0

Also more than 6k (originally 9k) btc from this wallet is still there.

They seem to have 5% of the total hashpower now, so they should be mining 3600 x 0.05 = 180 BTC per day.

However, they are now selling their BTC packaged as "XBT Tracker One" electronic notes, at the NASDAQ Sweden market.  Each note is only an IOU for 0.05 BTC, so when they sell the note the do not have to move any bitcoins.

Those wallets may be where they keep the bitcoins that are supposed to back the notes that they have issued or plan to issue.  The total trade volume of  those notes on NASDAQ-SE so far is ~19'000 BTC, but that includes notes that have been bought and sold many times.  Somewhere in the net (at Bloomberg?) one can find the amount of notes that they have actually issued; but I can't find the URL now.

Houston Athens Frankfurt, we have a problem.

Will be much fun shorting € in next days  Grin

Put tarmi on the case and we'll all be begging for the drachma as the new pan-european currency.

I bet if Greece will exit the Euro, the Drachma will not be its currency... and before you judge, this is not insider's info, just an opinion.

In places like China you can get electricity at cents/kwh plus super cheap ASIC(they are made in China), plus one dollar is worth much in 3rd world countries...

About the next halving, it will make the sell pressure lower, so the prices should increase(at least 2x the current price). If they do things will keep going as they are, if not, miners might just shut down their clients and the total hash power of the network will be lowered until a new equilibrium is found. What would happen in the meantime is the big question

the fact that they still mining at these difficulty scares me   Embarrassed

i wonder what will happen after reward halfing... could be crash one more time because everyone want to get out Shocked
then price can rises to its potential  Huh

BTC  price are very cheap i think Embarrassed , 250 at todays diffulty are just barely enough to roi even with cheap electricity.

Not everyone can afford don't sell any bitcoin they mine, because they need to pay electricity bills etc, and not everyone can or is willing to use money coming from other activities to keep your nodes running(it might be really expensive if you are a big farmer).

And his 6k BTC are less than 2 days of block rewards, so I don't think they are really significant

I actually like the slow upward movement with slight ups and downs. Bitcoin has finally found some stability despite of the growing optimism. It's possible a bubble will form, but I have got the impression this slow upward movement will just continue. (Not taking into account Black Swan events)

PS: voted for 260, as that would be the logical continuation of the slow upwards trend.

i wonder what will happen after reward halfing... could be crash one more time because everyone want to get out Shocked

BTC  price are very cheap i think Embarrassed , 250 at todays diffulty are just barely enough to roi even with cheap electricity.

KNC hasn't sold any freshly mined coins from 30.5. At least not from this wallet  Wink

Also more than 6k (originally 9k) btc from this wallet is still there.
