One thing's for sure, while bitcointalk.org was offline everything went up; BTC and most of the alts, gosh, even DOGE! Then, we go online again, the price falls $6. Seriously?  Undecided

It gave people time to think and trade rather than gaze at photographs of aged, knotty penises.

before bitcointalk down: around 232
bitcointalk down: 240+
bitcointalk back up: 238 and falling.

seems the trolls from here have some influence on prices

of course trolls are powerfull beings, never doubt that  Grin

It started to fall long before bitcointalk went back up. In fact it was down to about 237 before bitcointalk went back up. Afterwards the price went up to about 238 for a while. I think the price going down had more to do with the news of the ~1500 Bitcoins stolen from Bitfinex.

Those small price movements have nothing to do with those recent developments. It can be all explained by technical analysis of the bitcoin market.

Quite a lot of people will empty out their fiat from an exchange by buying BTC and try to GTFO when it is hacked. That, coupled with finex asking customers to stop making deposits, makes me think it's no coincidence that finex led the recent rise.

I, and I guess most others in this thread, expected a rise because of this on Friday. What is encouraging thus far is the lack of a serious crash afterwards. But the dust might not have settled yet.

Who's there?
It seems it's too early to switch from stamp to finex. Because:

1. Finex is hacked too
2. OKCoin document forgery shows that one shouldn't trust Chinese business.
   and non-Chinese business too

There are several hot topics to catch up with, among them the Digital Gold book and Roger Ver calling Star Xu of OKCoin a liar.  Cheesy

Fellow travelers,

This is a friendly reminder to change your account passwords, in case their hashes were compromised during the breach.

We wouldn't want usurpers spreading misinformation from hero accounts, would we?

Would we notice and would we care?

I haven't owned a toaster for 20 years and have no plans for getting one.

I'm sorry. But how can you live without a toaster?? Serious question!

Some people don't understand how to live without a talking rice cooker.

I put mine on mute.

I figured out how to set it to beep-only. But now I miss the choo choo train sound it makes when steaming.

That just indicates that a percent, didnt have access to getting bitcoin.

And werent aware of the obvious sites like localbitcoins.com. Then again, anything these days involving bitcoin hits its price, so whatever.
