what a good time to be earning dollars, spending euros and holding bitcoins - which is exactly what I am doing  Cool

This year will be interesting for sure. I sense a big crash coming...but not in bitcoin Wink

Might be EUR/USD you talking about?
Have been watching the charts, but can't conclude as to why is this happening. Is it confirmed that Greece has left the Eurozone?

what's happening is that the dollar is a worthless piece of paper while the euro manages to be even more worthless. meanwhile bitcoin is gaining traction as a form of honest money. USD and EUR will both go down the drain eventually. I have been betting on EUR getting there first for years now.

"to be or not to be, that is the bitcoin"
where is lambchop?

he's contemplating the fact that with the fall of AM there will be no one left to troll in the securities section, only repetitions of "I told you so". I feel bad for the little lamb.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

This isn't even my final form...

EUR seems to be suffering a horrible death... Undecided

EUR/USD$1.05!!!  Parity inbound!  All you Europeans, Yer-a-peein' on your currency.

It's about time the stuck up ECB did something other than sit on their hands. Now it's the turn of the americans and chinese to buy our artificially under priced goods for a couple of decades.

Absolutely! Of course you'll let us buy on credit, right? (because that worked out so well with Greece)

german wsj headlines (!) that bitcoin is last chance/resort for greece:

the eye opener is that bitcoin is even seen as something capable of "rescuing" an entire economy. 2013 some of us feared btc will become blatantly outlawed. 18 months later such headlines...

ELI5: How can an isolated black box of derivates market with only USD inside put a downward preassure on bitcoin price in USD? (I'm not suprised if it is actually possible.)

If you know where the bitcoin price is going then the derivatives will be a place of free money.  That's how derivatives markets affect the underlying price.  They offer incentives to change the price.

You'll have to join the Euro. I would love to see Fox News go apeshit if that happened.

You can't even get Sweden, Switzerland, the UK or Iceland to join, so why the hell would we? Eurodollars are effectively loans we take out and never have to pay back, so no thanks.  We may not be able to export much anymore, but we can and do export inflation  Grin

We'll get you somehow.

Interesting to see how some people try to crash the price and others try to start a rally... And none of them have success  Kiss

It takes little effort and low volume to raise the price in this market.
