Bitcoin replaces central, not commercial, banks
This thread feels so weird with so much positive energy lately.

I'm starting to miss those trolls with the 255 different sock puppet accounts posting rubbish and non sense that even they don't truly believe what they're posting.

Maybe they're waiting for the Marshall's auction before making a cameo again, who knows.  We need more Bitcoin going to $0, Ripple and Stellar are king, you'll never unseat Gold, Silver, aluminum foil type posts... Cry

ripple is gimppled..... http://www.ripplecharts.com/#/markets

stellar sounds cool but is run by guy who started mount gox (and ripple) and that is what caused ripple to lose wells fargo .. stellar probably not going anywhere due to this fact....

ripple is gimppling because they hired some obamaturd and NOTHING good has ever come from obama wh ..... we only get executive orders (cuz noone likes his gay laws), more and more taxes (irs made record taxes last year and this year they got obama scheme-care money grab), and catastrophes ....... we'll see... but if obama's hand is in ripple then it probably will fail because all of obama's strategies have been failures ...

hopefully obama admin doesnt lose a major strategic region or something like that before they leave the wh (oops they did that too!)..

steller sounds cool except for the fact that they have a broke consensus protocol and are pretty much useless

No maps for these territories
My crystal ball never lies:

Bitcoiners are finally ready for long, soft, sweet sustained rise throught 2015, then massive peak in the 2016 halving

Nice jump for the price I just returned to my laptop and saw the price in the top , And was asking my self
what really made this jump is it traders or new users ?

you can read this http://cointelegraph.com/news/113598/ukraines-272-hyperinflation-rate-boosts-bitcoins-prospects-in-eastern-europe
if you want a good analyse for the price boost those days . It say it because of Ukrain ....

If you think people in Ukraine buying coins off localbitcoins is behind this rally... you're gonna have a bad time, or at the least, be completely perplexed as to what is going on.
They don't need local bitcoins in Ukraine:  http://www.coindesk.com/5000-terminals-across-ukraine-now-offer-bitcoin-cash/

btc-e is dragging down the average, but 281 is pretty decent. I predict it's going to rise to about 295 then drop down to 285 again. Then it should repeat that but in increasing numbers.

BTC-E seems to be pretty laggy all this time. Is it only because it is difficult to get money into it or because the fees are high? I always thought everyone considered them kind of shady, yet they haven't had any hacks or outages... Funny, eh?

all exhcanges that work like fiat gateways are slow and laggy in this rally.

bitfinex is driving the momentum, so I guess someone made large btc deposits there and went long.

Driven by which news then?
... news hit already, so there should be a definitive end to it (like the Coinbase fueled run)...

The only news that might influence BTC price is a better moon/rocket gif than the masterpiece on Coinbase.
Now go fire up Photoshop's broke-ass cousin GIMP, and get arting!

It will be interesting to see whether there really will be FIAT entering the regular exchanges of the people who didn't get a slice of the auctions' pie. I don't know... It's more or a news-driven event, I think...

Every day we have this kind of events

Regulation and financial products around BTC are also increasing awareness and interest

who says there havent been any hacks? gox was most probable hacked twice in 2011. it lasted over 2 years until it got a problem and became public.

Driven by which news then?

Not the auction itself, right? There seems to be more or less consensus that the auctions are neutral-to-bearish.

The (pseudo) ETF news? Unlikely, in my opinion: news hit already, so there should be a definitive end to it (like the Coinbase fueled run), and, well, it's not really the ETF we're waiting for.

I think it's purely (or at least: mostly) technical: convincing capitulation in January, followed by rally into upper daily BB, which "failed", but then barely retraced back below the MA20, followed by another rally into upper BB, and this time: not even retracing below the MA afterwards... looks to me like the market is mainly just "confident" that we're not going much lower currently. (For now, that is. This is about the short-to-mid term picture alone.)
