This forum needs a button called "Mark as Troll", if enough people mark somebody as a Troll, all their messages can go straight to the "moon" folder where nobody has to read them.
The ignore button (a couple of years ago) used to glow from light yellow to darker orange depending on the amount of ignores, so if you saw someone with a glowing Ignore button you knew he was ignored by so many users(doesnt mean he is a troll though), you know someone like you would have a red glowing button.... but thanks to Theymos and his free speech hardcore support (which I do support as well) this doesn't work anymore.

Theymos & gang have been working on the new software for years now. This forum [purportedly] has many million$$$ in the till, but computers are hard tho.

Joe the proverbial plumber could have learned computers & coded the whole thing in assembler by now. We, of course, are stuck using 2009 vintage shareware because Bitcoin.

Actually it was removed because of a database performance issue, I think running count() on the ignores was slowing page loads or something like that.
Who would do that? You have a separate table (or a column in the user table) with a value that is incremented with each new ignore...

I've been looking, well carefully following the thread (since my last post here). The amount of trolls is amazing.
Whatever happens (price goes down, or even when it goes up like today) they keep spreading FUD or mocking us and/or Bitcoin.'Free speech' is important, but there has to be a limit somewhere.
I thought bitcoin was about freedom... but you can't even tolerate some criticism of your Internet funbux? I guess some the trolls have hit a nerve, huh?

I lost my confidence in bitcoin when i saw that 6 years passed by and this currency still lives in obscurity. If it was something great, it should have been mass adopted a long time ago.
And please do not compare it with the early internet, you pig! Bitcoin doesn't need that much infrastructure and besides that we are living in a super connected world where great things are being adopted at the speed of light. You have so many examples around you. I still believe in crypto currencies, but not in this form. Not Bitcoin...
