We are not in 2011.
It's not the same
Boy, what a compelling argument. I guess we can throw all of technical analysis into the trash, seeing as how the present is never at any point of the past. Shocked

Yes, we can, and we should.

Looks like we're climbing slowly again Smiley

It still has trouble getting past that 450/2700 wall for some reason. It's such a tiny amount but it's stopping us for several days now.

Edit. China lost the battle again. I guess Gox will follow with just 700 coins from 450 Sad

this might just be a pull back. hold your coins and wait for it to rise

I'm holding forever Smiley

fun fact : i got my credit card hacked two times on the net last year and each time my bank refund me within 10 days to protect me.

More than bitcoin can ever do

only an idiot lets their credit card get hacked ... and your credit card fees include costs for all the other idiots who let their cards get hacked and the idiot companies that 'secure' all the massive credit card databases ... basically its a bog hack system that costs a lot of of money to keep patching up

secure bitcoin properly and it never gets hacked and you never pay more than you have to, or paying for others incompetence.

PS: you're credit card was basically worthless last time i looked anyway  Wink

Edit: take Bitstamp as an example when it comes to security, if they cant secure their exchange how do you expect a normal user to do so ?

Bitcoin is redefining the security measures in IT, when a single file is so important and critical, it is really dangerous for the masses at this point, we need to put more effort to make it secure, user friendly, tweaked for larger adoption and especially regulated so the scums and crooks don't find a heaven in it.

ok thanks for that, before i had just wondered, now i definitely know that you are a simple lightweight roll.

not worth bothering with, have fun in your safe little pond camel rider

The more I talk to people like you the more I love my camel. Wink

BTW: that picture in my profile is a piece of historical art...not that you really know what art or who Etienne dinet is

Art, Beanie Babies, Bitcoins, it's all the same, just a bunch of stuff that cultists like to collect, except art and beanie babies have no use case. Collecting art is even more stupid than collecting bitcoins.

lol,  you are probably just not rich enough to even consider collecting art. do you really think people who buy picassos are stupid?

Wow, by your analogy trolls are poor and bulls are smart.

PS: I don't think that people who collect picassos are stupid, I think it's stupid, but I won't go trolling on an art forum.

Honest 80s business!
This is how the people back in September 2011 must have felt like... Phew... Can't really make up my mind about what to do now. Just hold I guess... It's too late to do anything about it now and thus I will ride it to the end. Smiley

Blood in the streets.
Is anybody going to buy?
I'm a lot of $ down but would anybody recommend buying now?

I've been looking at these chart patterns for years and this is not a trend reversal pattern. It may go up a little but then another wave of selling will bring it back.

I agree.

It's nothing but a gut call. If you're gonna stay long, no better time than this. If you're gonna short, wait a bit. Wink

I would love to do a couple of shorts: $100, $50, all the way down to sub-$10.

However, I don't trust any exchange to honour such a short. There's blood on the streets now. There'll be tears of blood at sub-$100.

Of course the opposite strategy may work: nobody (myself included) thinks this is a good time to buy, which is why it may be.

Just like with $300, for lots of people sub $200 is their uncle point and will prepare to sell. What we've seen today so far are stops being triggered and maybe margin call stop outs. I don't think big % of cold storage coins even moved yet. Dunno. Will see. Just talking my book here...
