it might not be popular, but what happens is that bitcoin prices only move based on technical factors. Fundamentals are lagging.
This is why it is best to make forecasts based on technical chart analysis and not fundamentals.
Just look how foolish Tim Draper's bitcoin purchases are. He reads in mainstream media that bitcoin is the next big thing and he buys bitcoins first at around 600-700$ , losing half in value.
He has been at least 1.5 years too late...

I tend to disagree. Do you *REALLY* think guys like him are losing money?  Roll Eyes

Guys like him definitely lose money on individual investments.
Make 10 high risk/high reward bets, lose 9, win one.  Stay in the black.
Bitcoin turned out to be one of the loosing bets Undecided

Am I sensing despair?

Of course, people are losing money.

You miss the point. Despair -> capitulation

I had to cash out a significant part of my short to cover Christmas shopping and business start-up expenses. Seriously depressed, now. Money still on the table... and then the inevitable bounce up. It's always the worst when you have to do real people things with money right when the market seems so predictable.

404 - Significant increase in volume not found...

And, even if it did, volume often increases when the price starts moving, up or down.

And, besides, increased volume means more BTC being bought and the same number of BTC being sold.  Given that, and the existence of effective arbitrage, one must look closely at the order books and trades to tell whether the clients of a particular exchange are bullish or bearish compared to the other exchanges.

Can you not see.

Well done Ripple pump squad lol

The same people shorting and drumping Bitcoin are pumping Ripple.

They have decided to do after several months of a Bitcoin bear market when they know noobs will be squirming and will probably dump Bitcoin and put into Ripple just as they are exiting with huge profits.

Do not worry it will not last forever. Check previous peaks and troughs. Market cycles. Low liquidity. Pump and dump groups. Nothing new to see here.

Hodl.
You are right perfectly executed by the ripple squad.

wierd thing about ripple is they don't want your fiat, they want your bitcoins.

Strange, yet attractive.
I guess them boys who buy on sentiment is soon running out of fiat.

It'll be interesting to see how they do.

When the BTCs are in the right hands, those who drive the price now down to Earth, they will drive it back to the moon. Simple as that.
