We are on track to cross over the 12 HR moving average into bull market territory this weekend. That hasn't happened since Paypal announced they would be accepting bitcoin at one of their subsidiaries. At ~$400 we would see the first daily crossover since July 1. Of course that buy signal couldn't have been more wrong, so take market momentum as a guide, but a far from infallible one. What is more encouraging is that the order books are strongly bullish at Stamp and BFX.

I'm keeping some powder dry, but looking for an opportunity to load up, possibly late Sat or Sunday when the banks are closed and buyers are out of fiat. I suspect soon that sellers and the people who made a quick $100/BTC on the latest dip/spike will run out of coins first, but time will tell.
What 12 HR means?

twelve hour moving average. an indicator of market momentum.

I still can't get over this volume..

Where has it all come from?

There's no major news from what I can tell, it all seems to be from a speculation of a trend reversal.

The crash and 30k sell off got a lot of news. A positive effect is that it got the attention of a lot of new people who thought it was a good time to get in. This was exactly what we needed. The best thing that could happen at this point.

We saw crazy buying pressure the last few days but this has stopped because all these new people who bought coins got completely dumped on by traders who tried to take their 50 bucks profit. This is combination with the big dumps as we've seen the last few months and people putting up big ask walls everytime we go up and the probably only uptrend we could've wished for has stopped.

New people will stop buying. They realize they are giving away their money to scum traders who destroy the very same product they try to invest in.
Let's hope it's not completely over yet and there are still enough new people who are willing to give this a try. But even if there are chances are they will get dumped on as soon as the price rises a bit. Traders and dumpers will keep doing this till there is noone to dump on anymore.

What 12 HR means?

The "12-hour moving average" (MA) is the average of the price over the last 12 hours, recomputed every hour or less (that's the "moving" part).

I'm thinking maybe a lot of people believe we hit bottom, and are looking for entry.

Or maybe all the major news over the past 6 months, not priced in yet.
all my trading and price developement understanding comes only from bitcoin, but imho
"News" start to be priced in just before they become "News". As soon as everybody knows (/thinks/believes/fears/hopes) something it is already in the price.

Strange, yet attractive.
Has anyone else noticed that women tend to run out on you when you need their support the most? I see them as a luxury, something nice to have when times are good but unnecessary and actually a harmful distraction much of the time.
People are a luxury to each other no matter the gender. We're not obliged to hang on to somebody and he/she is not obliged to hang on to us. Meaningful to say that before attaching to (or even searching for) someone it is vital to obtain your personal peace. Whenever a person has his/her issues and "begs" his/her partner to solve them for him/her, it's most than certain it will be a programmed disaster at the end of the tunnel.

Just my BTC0.00000002

Double bottom detected.

Coinbase wouldn't let me buy today. They claimed that they had sold their daily limit. That means silicone Valley is buying.

Choo choo.

Where does coinbase get their coins? Directly from miners? Or do they buy from an exchange?
Coinbase buys coins from BitPay.

You would think that they could just buy more off the exchange?   Undecided

How complicated is it?  I think that is the most annoying thing about Coinbase by far!!!  Angry
It's usually cleared up within 30 mins.

They can't keep all of their btc in a hot wallet. If buyers overwhelm sellers they need to grab from cold storage or buy

They get most of them from customers selling (some of which are miners), but when they need extra liquidity, it is rumored they buy on Bitstamp.
Keep trying. Sometimes it just says that.
