I wonder if this had anything to do with BFL.

think they* forced bfl to liquidate 30k at market? that can't be, auctions get better prices...

or do you just mean the panic behind them shutting down being used to a bearish endgame?

if you wanted to buy around 300, and needed to wait for fiat to arrive, how much would you be buying for it to make sense to risk 30k btc on it? What would you be looking for?

It would help if you knew there wasn't much USD on bitstamp waiting to buy your wall. It would help if you had some fiat ready. Then, if you made a deal to sell X BTC at some price above 300, you could make sure you can buy that amount back for less provided you can get the funds on stamp before others do.  Is there a set of numberd that would make this play reasonable?

Good morning , wall seems to be gone, and we are 10% up after it:

Cool

Has he bought his own wall aka 1-2000+ BTC buys in the end?

I hope you know I've be lauding your rather refreshingly realistic and accurate sentiment.

I hope phase 2 will be the short squeeze by a whale on the bears, thinking bulls still have heads stuck in the sand.

But don't get me wrong I know we're on thin ice, only takes one or two to cause a stampede of panic. So one step at a time in recovery.

he who has the gold makes the rules
Bitstamp is totally exhausted, I think there will be still some downtrend.
Everyone please ignore this idiot, I just did...

I agree, that it's the best option to hide your head in the sand. Or at very least, build a special kind of bubble around you that will filter out all the information, that could threaten your dreams of easy riches. It's always smart as a trader to filter out all the information that doesn't suit your hopes!  Smiley

i don't ever ignore anyone but some people on this forum are like little children with sensitive egos

anyway i am happy to take their money when i trade

The sale of that 35KBTC wasn't any kind of manipulation, a manipulator would put a wall and make others sell into his bids, but it was clear that this guy had no intention to buy, but he wanted to get the hell out....now, enough money has to be wired to build up the broken support otherwise the weekly and daily dumpers have a very thin bid book all over other exchanges, but the thinnest is at Bitstamp, this was clearly resulted by people cancelling their bids and buying into the wall.

At the moment it is not yet clear what will exactly happen, it is the start of the week, we will see how much money will be wired and if people will want to instantly buy or put their bids into the book.

You don't do that to cash out, unless you want to attract attention. You will call up someone for OTC trade. It is clear that somebody did that with a motive.

I am curious how much more BTC that person has. If no more, it is likely that we will only go up from here.
