literally the only buys from the asks right now are little orders by bots

This means not much demand, and price must come down

@JorgeStolfi could you please post that chart with your calculations that show that without China we would probably be around something around 70-100$

Sure.  70-100$ was the estimate last March or so.  This is the bullish view of where we would be without China now:

Ah, the power of extrapolation... Grin

Reading here I start to think: Bitcoin does not need any bears, having such bulls!  Cheesy
Looks like despair is not far away.

I really have to chuckle a bit, as for false interpretation and short to to mid-term skepticism a was called a bear, but looks like being a bear is making strong holding your investment without fear and despair.

C'mon guys, what have you expected? That it would rise without times where the market will shake his participants hard, harder and a lot harder?

Your are venture capitalists! This no government bond.

We're almost there.  I'm guessing we're going to see another four digit dump between now and tomorrow which should really set things off.  Either way, they're not getting my coins.

I have done pretty sophisticated TA and came to the conclusion that we probably won´t go sideways in the next 72h.

this catastrophic price movement (i am losing a fortune)
The price now is what the price was in May, and about 4x what it was a year ago, and 40x what it was 2 years ago.

What are you doing so wrong that you're losing a fortune under these circumstances?

correct. it was only virtual.

 Cheesy

bought way lower than 458, but it still hurts

did you buy any above 458?? sell any?

thinking about it i have actually profited already, since i needed to cash out some fraction of my stash this year.
i shall not complain.
but 455 ...  ugly.

Does it matter? You can't figure it out?.. seems like you forgot about this thing called google

If it's so easy, then post it.  But you can't because you don't know what you're talking about.

Now that it appears the end is upon us, I'd like to present the following to all of you out there who deceived the impressionable mom and pop investors in to piling their life savings into a pie in the sky investment scheme (you know who you all are)

Perspective!

Enjoy this opportunity.  Don't try to catch an exact bottom.  If BTC was somehow fairly priced at $620 or $650 or $700 when you bought, then what has CHANGED?

Just the price?  Don't panic and decide that price always equals value.

the thing is that BTC will probably survive and maybe even "change the world", but for now it might be just way overpriced at the eyes of traders investors and the masses.

Some people say "the blockchain is understructible", " long term fundamentals are too good", "amazing news lately", but that doesn't change the fact that maybe BTC needs a total "price reset", and it doesn't necessarily mean it will die.

Maybe China pumped and dumped too hard during the last bubble, maybe Markus and Willy (the bots) really had a big impact on BTC price, who the hell knows.

Well good news according to whom? The fact is that the majority of traders doesn't see bitcoin as a currency. So it's irrelevant. It's been in a bubble since 2013, now its finished. This is a normal market reaction to something that was vastly bloated in price and value. The truth is that there is no reason for people to use bitcoin to spend or own (except to make a quick buck).

...

no there is much reasons...

Where are these phantom creatures of the night of which you speak? You think bitcoin will make the world a better place for africans? Sorry bud, but its not like that in the real world.

i'm saying it already is.
