Hi guys! This is my first post here. I have been reading this thread for some time now. I am not a day trader, so the stuff you write here is not relevant to me. But... I just have to read your shit anyway. I like the humor & action, he he. So it is relevant to me. Stupid me.... ;-)

That's why I selected this place to publish a simple mathematical model of how Bitcoin price can evolve over time. Don't kill me because the numbers in my formula are off. Just adjust & use. Kill me because the formula is wrong, he he ;-)

No maps for these territories
No bulltrap, just tons of microtrading oscillating the price. I wouldn´t surprise for a inminent big move up or down, however

I think the market is really trading different from how it used to be. Maybe a certain class of traders packed their bags and left after the MtGox fraud? It just seems that there's no more real weight (as in volume and velocity) behind bounces after a sell-off. I'd love to see some of that come back..

Also consider that many of those traders had to walk away *without* their bags. It wasn't Bitcoins fault but if I had been Goxxed, I might shy away from Bitcoin for the taste it left in my mouth.

If I may posit another plausible theory:

I think it's a hell of a lot easier to create a bubble on a single exchange that had something like 80% of the trading market, than the 15+ exchanges we have worldwide today.  Especially since a large number of those whale traders back then were concentrated on Mt Gox, and were probably colluding and working together to push the price up (Some of them reading this thread right now, hehe).  Couple that with god knows what insider trading shenanigans and bots that Karpeles was running on that abomination of an exchange (to fake demand), likely trying hard to replace all the lost/stolen bitcoin, and China going bananas, and I think you have a perfect storm.

Would be much harder to recreate the same today.  Especially with all the shorting and arbitrage, that didn't exist back in fall of 2013.

This looks like it might get nasty again. But... I still say buy! Bulltrap will get bigger first.

wow, real headfake this morning.  bull trap.

No, you better not say (er, observe and be right about) that, lest you want a bunch of people on this thread jumping down your throat and calling you a troll.

Stop fooling everyone you stupid troll!

If any whales were@play on the exchanges in the last time, then they were those who built up those buy walls you were sellin into. They reserved the "market buy" option as behavior for the fishies in the next months.

The price is still stuck little above the $500 mark.

What are the speculation the prices will hit 1K mark

You dont seem to answer seriously.

I really want to know the speculation.

It means that whales have already taken their positions, leaving the open exchanges almost cleaned out. Good luck rebuying your coins on the way up.

Found Lost beach - quiet now
Important to have a plan. I have a plan and sticking to it!

Yesterday bought more under 500. Will buy more if drops under 400 or sell a little over 700. In hover mode now.

May be hovering for a while.

physically, the absolute bottom is still zero

like anything in universe, things tend to a state of lowest energy
unless you input more energy into a system than it needs to self sustain,
it will give away as more energy as possible

but like even the empty space does not have a temperature of 0 Kelvin,
Bitcoin will always at least keep the value it needs to work

Heck, I'm a perma-bull as are others but I take the downs with good humor and understanding.

Mentioning the word "down" and implying "possible" or "understanding", disqualifies you to be a permabull. Sorry, you are a long term bull, not a permabull.

You are both overemotional immature 'investors' who just can't accept the way markets work which turned you into professional whiners on this forum. Good that you're no longer a perma-bull, I guess that's the first step towards enlightenment. Wink

Heck, I'm a perma-bull as are others but I take the downs with good humor and understanding. Whiney cry babies who think the world is shitting upon them when things aren't going their way are just tiresome though.
