So this week.....

AlienWare accepts bitcoin.
Baltic Air accepts bitcoin.
Dell accepts bitcoin.

Bitcoin drops around $30 for NO FUCKING REASON WHAT SO EVER.

Oh yah, there is a reason, all the idiot sheep lemming traders who trade BTC for no other
reason than its trendy.

I keep seeing articles about the biggest threat to bitcoin...

The biggest threat to bitcoin are this idiot sheep lemming traders who run down the price
on their own panics.

The general public is NEVER going to put large amounts of money into bitcoin
when they see articles about bitcoin dropping 10% overnight for no reason other
than the idiot sheep lemming traders panic or some moron hits the wrong button
and sells 2 million in bitcoin by mistake.

The idiots trading just to trade are going to run bitcoin into the ground and drive away
the general public who we need accepting it when they manage to drop the price 10%
overnight and cause panics.

Why you mad, bro? I got burnt this week because I bought back heavier on the good news only to get chopped down to size, but that's what happens in markets. Arguably, the news was priced in. More perniciously, there is market manipulation because this is a market largely unfettered by regulations (something that has tremendous benefits and setbacks). You win some, you lose some. Hopefully we get a kick back in the upward direction and your situation improves. But, you're an adult in an unregulated, wild west market by choice knowing that you are going to have fair weather investors and market manipulators. Think. Plan. Focus long-term (whether that be bullish... yay, you can buy more now... or bearish our of concern about investor irrationality). Play your (long-term) hand.

Maybe everyone dumped their BTC and bought Ether for some stupid reason.
It just makes no damn sense what so ever.

Contact details stolen from ECB database
Quote
Email addresses and other contact information have been stolen from a European Central Bank database following a security breach.

The ECB said the information related to those who had registered to attend its events, such as conferences or visits, and was not encrypted.

However it said other details in the dataset, such as downloads made from its website, were encrypted and no system or market-sensitive information was taken in the attack.

The ECB said the matter first came to its attention after it received an anonymous email seeking money in return for the stolen data.

It said it had contacted German police about the theft and an investigation is under way.

The ECB also said it was in the process of contacting those who may have had their contact information stolen, while all passwords on its website have been changed as a precautionary measure.

Read the names of the companies invested in in the spin off and know it's all completely Bitcoin.
Ripple Labs?
Either the article I read didn't mention that (it summed up 10-15 companies) or I missed it. Are you certain?
Did you mean this list, linked from the CoinDesk article? https://angel.co/bitcoin-opportunity-corp

No, but thanks for the link! Smiley

I feel bad for people not buying any coins right now.  We may very well never see it this low again.  Once the rally starts and then consolidates I think we might never see anything below $1000.

Might? Why so uncertain? Wink

After the next growth spurt there will never be prices below $1k for 10^8 Satoshi, aka 1 BTC, ever again.

I have less faith in Bitcoin than other things. Wink
Wink I have more faith in Bitcoin than many other things, but it may just still be a dream.

I have more faith in BTC than USD long term.

i don't foresee anything in the near future that would spur a big bull-run where there are big, new players in the market. i still hope we'll hit 1k by year's end, but i just don't know if that's the case.

A pumpkin mines 27 hours a night
Well, at least I called it right last week when I voted that price would be $610 on 7/25. And once again, the bulls get slaughtered. Did anyone really think we would push past $720, or is that what they *wanted* to believe?

I don't know if I'd go as far and call the current drop an instance of 'bull slaughtering'... But it's unnerving, yes!
