Buy and sell bitcoins,
Everybody and their mother is bearish on TradingView, all calling for 500s and 400s at this point. Everyone going short. Tell me this means we are going to the moon soon. Smiley

Correction -- everyone there is bearish except DanV. Smiley He thinks the $615 level will hold and that we'll see a bullish leg to the $680-720 zone still.

Sellers testing that trendline again. They must be trying to break it to wake the bulls up.

Maybe trying to crash, maybe just not able to prolong their sells anymore... I really thought this could've pushed us farther back down. But we're still not safe... It'll be a tough night I guess...

poeple suck balls

i told everyone it was going to the mooooooooon

no one listened.

everyone wishes they had.

I tell them "buy now!"  "it only cost more because its worth more"  "we are still in early stages, try to look a few years out, imagine the possibilities!" "come on what wrong with you!?"

but noooo, "gata pay the bills"  "since i have less than half a brain I have no need for bitcoin"  "maybe next year i'll have some money for that" "lets group buy 100x  649 tickets how can we lose!?"

I have bills to pay too but I have been working like crazy listing actual old US Coins on ebay so I don't have to sell any of the "coins" I would much rather keep.   Grin  Whatever we have to do to keep them right!?

I had a chat with an old relative of mine today. Bitcoin entered the conversation. He said, oh that, that's a ponzi scheme. I said no it's not. He then explained to me what a ponzi scheme is and I said yes I know it LOOKS like one because of the massive amount made by people involved from the beginning, but is the internet a ponzi scheme? No? Well what if you bought sex.com in 1992 for a hundred bucks?

Then he said you can't buy plane tickets with it, so I said yes you can www.expedia.com then we stopped talking about it and it was time to get some food, and he said you can't buy food with bitcoin, and I said yes you can! (I was talking about buying pizza funnily enough), then he said you can't buy a flat with it etc......

It's nice that bitcoin has developed to the stage where there's constant examples of its acceptance, functionality and superiority to fiat.

To d4 m00n!

Ask him if he knows what a laggard is.

Nah, he's just too old for this. No need to insult him.

I wouldn't call that insulting. Just that by the time he realizes what bitcoin really is he may be too late to reap the profit portion of the benefits it will bring us.

He's too old to know or care. You're talking about people that don't use google here. I realise that telling this story here was probably not the best idea.

To the person who just said they hate people like that, there are plenty of people who don't understand bitcoin and are lovely, generous people who just want to not see other people lose their money. (Like JorgeStolfi CLAIMS to be doing, except he is doing it in entirely the wrong place. He might as well start an anti-smoking campaign in a room full of people dying of lung cancer.)

I for one really don't want to see the 500s again. Let's just stay above 600 for heavens sake Cheesy Seriously!

Agreed.

If someone had told me back at the end of Nov 2013 that we'd still be ~$600 in July of 2014, I'd have told them they were nuts.

But if someone had told us in July of last year we would be stuck around $600 for most of 2014 we would have been really excited to hear that then!

Hopefully we are "stuck" at $6000 or so for the beginning of 2015. Wink

i hate ppl like that. Just cause they didnt get in they will justify their reasoning by calling it a scam.

See it all the time. I always say when these ppl end up buying its time to start selling.. they are considered dumb money.

When ppl like this start buying, you won't have to sell b/c bitcoin will be everywhere.  That guy will cave, buy and use btc just to not look dumb anymore.

Tell him to look up the definition of a Ponzi scheme again.  At worst you could call bitcoin a pump and dump.

what happens on the 24th chartbuddy?

It's arguably the first day of the next 234 day bubble cycle. Also mtgox is auctioning their bitcoins. There are a few other things happening around then also (Bitcoin conference is 19/20th)

Huh No

Oh, they're auctioning bitcoins.com. Oops Cheesy

*Sigh of relief*

I was am getting more and more used to the idea of Mt Gox being my super long-term stash.  Cheesy

Haha, I have 12 BTC there and I am too dreaming they'll refund me when each of them is 100 000$ at least Tongue

Did you get the postcard?  Grin

I think it's a reasonable goal for us to be trying to shoot for $640-$645 (sustainable) by the end of the week.   The economy in general seems to have more money flowing around during the summer years (shopping, real estate, etc), so I would lean on including BTC market in that category
