what happened to the 1K wall on stamp???

Someone bought about 350 BTC out of it. Then it was removed, followed by around 350 BTC worth of buy-ins into the Ask orders that had jumped down below it.

Seems that it was a market engineering wall after all as opposed to a genuine attempt to shift 1000-1500 BTC. However, the anticipated break out doesn't seem to be on the cards at the moment. A retest of support at $640 is looking likely.

That's what happens when btc goes mainstream. Wall St minions only work/trade 5 days per week and their clients are programmed for that routine.

Smiley So how you explain last weekend when the price ++ around $30? Smiley

Its really hard, no rally this weekend so we have to wait for weekdays.

Nope. Just no appetite at the moment it seems.

Despite Wall Guy's best efforts to engineer a break out, looks like we are going to have to go back down to test the trendline again, now at $640. This could string itself out for days and even pass through the apex of the pennant without breaking in either direction.

Most of the other alt-coins are declining in price right now.  BTC and LTC are holding up pretty well and have stayed pretty flat today... Namecoin and Peercoin are not doing so hot...

The fault of new alt-coins Drk, Xc,Nxt etc which brings new features and are more hyped.
LTC is being kept alive by a massive bid wall on btc/ltc chart. Furthermore ASIC for scrypt  is adding constant selling pressure to recoup their mining hardware investment.

good analysis.

I don't see the point in LTC any more. 2nd coin will probably be some other coin.

At the risk of sounding controversial, I think it will become a battle between lite and drk !  Cheesy

A modern day race war. Obama would be so proud.

I don't know dick about bullish or bear sjit.
But are we starting another rise ? pretty bored.

Well I don't either, but it's pretty bullish around here at least at the moment... Check the poll results.

The resident bears haven't posted for a while, and the resident trolls even seem to have given up (for the moment).

This is Bitcoin though, so anything could happen.  Roll Eyes

Can anyone tell me where do you guys watch btc walls. On stamp ?
I'm new to this wall thing.

Welcome sir, I am kinda new here myself. On top of bitcoinity.org, I also recommend bitcointicker.co and bitcoinwisdom.com. Also, if you need an alarm for bitcoin price alerts check out bitcoinbeeper.com, it's a very useful tool.

Thank's for the recommendation Smiley

The top right graph on this page http://bitcointicker.co/transitions/ allows you to zoom in and out of the depth, and animates it's movement.

This was clearly a scary wall that got eaten a bit. He bought now back after he took wall down.

Well spotted!

He bought the coins queuing up beneath his scary wall to about the number that were eaten out of his wall, and now he has removed his wall. That tells us that the owner of this Wall, wants Bitcoins, not USD at this point in time.

Still likely to be a very sticky market until some whale starts eating chunks out of the Ask Wall.....when/if that happens, it should take the Weekly MACD into crossover territory which could instigate a bit of a lift off over the coming couple of weeks.

By the way, I believe that historically, it has been more common for weekends to be slower and lower volume and dump rather than rising periods, so in that regard the last two weekends of rallies were probably more flukes than anything.

There are probably a lot of long time posters here that can say more particularly if they believe weekends to be  a dumping time or a pumping time and if there is pumping, it would be more in line with the very end of the weekend rather than the beginning or the middle of the weekend.

Why rely on belief? Historical market data is freely available, any trend like the weekend slump should be visible there.
