Miners are screwed, it is like 450 wasnt enough unprofitable, now they have to deal with 350 
My main fear is that this draws out. If we see any decent sized time frame where larger miners are unprofitable on increasing scales, shit could hit the fan. hard.
Unlikely to happen, IMHO. Bitcoin now has 25% market cap of What's App. This is pocket change for whales.

There have already been lots of ASICs hitting Ebay. If the price really tanks, and the difficulty plunges, buying mining equipment could be even more lucrative over the long haul than buying coins.
That is, if you discard the massive risks in making such a trade. Those chips are only good in doing one thing.

I think we have tested the top long enough. So i'm turning very bearish again.. I could be wrong. I frequently am, but here is my possible worst case scenario for the next 2 days or so..

I think time is the key factor, not price. Im going to buy in 12 hours time. when the chinese are done for the day. Im also waiting for that long squeeze on BFX. that would be an ideal time to buy. just an idea...

That's true, but it was triggered by Chinese news, along side Australian news. in 12 hours time, the move will be 24+ old. not likely....

ASICs are only good for mining and electricity costs are marginal. So they can only mine and hope for better times

How come nobody is exited about cheap coins? I don't see ANY greed.
Because they aren't perceived as cheap anymore. Haven't been, for more than a week now (the range, I mean).
But you knew that as well I'm sure.
Interesting question is now: what /do/ I (personally) think of as "cheap coins". And I have a really hard time coming up with an answer... 300? Not sure. 266? Yeah, probably. 100? Sure.
100, definatly cheap
160-200 USD = very good deal
200-266 USD = nice deal
266+ USD = "nice bottom fishing dude", "you were lucky during that flash crash"
I suspect that if this crash is a short term flash crash, we will not go below 266, if it is a slow and painfull crash, even 100 USD seems possible

Not sure anymore when people start talking about sub 100... I try to relax, delete my bitcoin favourites and apps and check Bitcoin in a half year
