And after this sudden spike upwards, there will be another slow and boring downfall, with everyone who bought are holding, while hoping that the next wave will start another upwards trend...

How funny is seeing poeple suddenly buying bitcoin on Mtgox. After they stayed with 350 coins for hours in front of them , not it's time to buy them at 450 ))))
))))I bought gallons at 340 while everybody was saying "Please don't say Gox on this thread, gox is dead."
I think people will start realize the opportunity missed when we surpass Stamp.
If gox surpasses Stamp again , this will be one hell of a ride
))It won't even matter once he can send his coins to another exchange. $340 coins are $340 coins once they can be moved around properly.

Just think that coins where 1/2 the price of stamp a few hours ago , and by recovering 240$ on top of what bitstamp price might grow ....
This growth is insane by my standards.

I thought the fiat was always there , wasn't it , no way to get it out?

That is money and bitcoins in the internal client accounts. MtGox may have enough in their corporate bank accounts and wallets to make good on the client accounts. Or may not have. Or may even owe money to their bank. There is no way to tell.
However, MtGOX is definitely behaving in all respects as if it were insolvent. Perhaps their CEO is just aiming for an Emmy award.
Banks and publicly traded corporations are required to publish audited and detailed balances every quarter. Crypto exchanges will not even provide unaudited statements of how much they owe to their clients. How can anyone trust those outfits?

None of the sum totals has changed at Gox in the last few days, only the BTC/$ ratio of each user.

Gox will again surpass all other exchange when it resumes withdrawls.
That may actually be true true, like "Pigs will fly when they grow wings".Of course the Gox price will surpass other exchanges, the premium on coins is because you can't get fiat out, and that will still exist once Gox allows coin withdrawals.

I think it was a false bottom, created 100% by fear. People feared that maybe the exchanges were outta business. That fear' been alleviated, now its back to business as usual...IMHO.
