Update on Gox losing a transfer of BTC of mine:

After 4 days, now fixed - but do make sure when you withdraw to your wallet you track and make sure transactions arrive?

Scary to see it disappear when tickets take 3 days to be even allocated.

Would be great to have Willy's twin also on stamp...

@theshmadz
think bots are a problem?

What about blatant price manipulation?

That's what the top of the current orderbook at Virtex looks like.

Who the fuck would place that red order if they weren't trying to manipulate and hold up the price??

Very glad I'm out of the exchanges for the time being.

Like I said less volatility = longer timeframes which means more volatility = shorter timeframes. Bitcoin is extremely volatile a 1D scale which warrants playing 1D at the very least. There is never a time when btc is stable enough to warrant playing a timeframe as big as 100D. Only playing 100D would mean a lot of missed opportunities to easily take advantage of the volatility on smaller scales.

Not too volatile today, maybe move those MacDs out a time frame or two, eh?

So is it completely impossible to get any fiat out of Gox? 170$ difference is insane

For non-Americans it is possible, just takes time. Not the biggest Fan of Gox, but the amount of FUD out here is impressive

It WAS possible. $170 differential may be an indicator that it's no longer the case. Any reports of recent successful fiat withdrawals? Or ANY withdrawals? I pulled 2BTC out about a week ago. No problems.

My last fiat withdrawal was december, last btc withdrawals today. One worked at once, one is waiting.
edit: will post when the second comes through

Bit off topic.. but i know this thread get's plenty of attention, so cheekily i'm posting here.
It's a link to another thread i posted, it's the story of a man who lost his sight through Glaucoma 5 years ago, and is attempting to fight a legal battle in Ireland for the right to have medical marijuana..

if you feel curious, please check it out. I've been in contact with him and have since set up a address to help aid his cause, legal fees and so on..

sure go on.. have a wee look -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=431596.new#new

Good cause, I hope he's successful.

Medical marijuana makes a huge difference everyday to people with all sorts of ailments. Shame they have to involve themselves in criminality just to relieve their symptoms, it's a human rights issue.
