things you own end up owning you
the ugliest thing is that is happening over the weekend, no money deposits and there is nothing we can do about it, except if you want to risk and sell now and wait the price to drop so you can buy lower there nothing else to do.

and I think this is what is happening the price wont go higher because allot of us are sitting and waiting for something to happen, or the other traders who are selling now to catch a lower price to buy back and I think the second ones are crashing the price....

If this price holds today tomorrow we will have a big race, we can jump from this price to over 1000 in a matter of couple of days

Why do we need more money?
All sold coins were traded with fiat money.

We just need more money when the price was not sustainable and that is still the case.
Price could dropt lower.

With new money the price will rise and a lot of buyers are going to taje profit > selling preasure

I bought @ 420-450 € this crash, so I'll sell 20-60% @ 700-800€.

sell to whom at 700-800 ? every one who bought at that price is holding Bitcoins, and everyone with cash in exchanges already bought at near bottom the same like you, we need fresh money in to push the price up

In my case, as european, is time to wake up and see that my order at 650USD didn't get filled, the downtrend stopped just couple of USD before Undecided
Hah I did the exact same thing.  Guess we shouldn't have all clustered around the same area hoping to buy.

Looking good.
China is over the 5000 mark and at the same time the 800 mark is being attacked at Gox.

In order to dump coins one must have coins
if the price on mtgox is about the same as bitstamp, wouldn't it be a better idea to transfer your BTC account to bitstamp, coinbase, or any other exchange, and then cash to fiat?
If you want USD that's the ONLY way to get it out of Gox

Okay.  I'm officially sick of Gox.  This last few days have been awful.  I'm thinking of moving to BTC-e.  Anything in particular I should watch out for?

Just the Russians closing their doors and leaving with your BTC a la Sheep Marketplace style. Or someone closing their bank account etc... with the same results, without any known person or company to follow. People bitch about Gox (and for good cause) but there's a reason that it's the only place where all of the big whales play at and every other exchange follows. Even after stopping all USD withdrawals, and a month SEPA withdrawals they're still like #1 (or so) exchange, think about it

Do you know if there have been any accounts of this sort of thing (people's money being stolen by the exchange), or is the concern that btc-e will just up and leave some day?

I'm not calling DaRude an idiot, but Derp...

Umm i'm an idiot for not wanting to trust my money to some unknown entity with zero liability? Ok i'll take that. At least if Gox decides to do something stupid we all know that Mark will end up in jail that's a good incentive not to get hacked. With btc-e ...? Not saying that they're defrauding now, and that they're Russian have little to do with anything, i like to know who i hand my money to. With that said i do trade there now and then but withdraw often and try not to accumulate any significant amounts there which is a PITA

Blitz:The price affects the perception of the news
Sorry to turn this into the troll box, but I feel this is the last opportunity to buy this low. China's news wasn't actually bad news, and we had to correct anyway. Now that we have, I'm hearing the people I know that have been following btc without buying any see this as their chance to get in. Well done bears, but it's time to become a bull again.

Thought this was aimed at me.

You're never too old to think young.
I was hoping I could stay up to see 800 but I'm fading fast. Gotta go back to bed and get the second half of my night's sleep.

Goodnight all.

Yeah.  If the Sunday sell-off doesn't happen on schedule, this might be a modest rebound.

Note to Spooderman:  Sorry for the trolling, but I respect the judgement of the regulars on this sub forum more than most of the others.  Hence my request for info and opinion.

More opinion.  We prolly ain't done with the dropping prices.  How far is down?  I dunno.

You were trolling? Did you request my info at some point?

edit: sorry for so many posts people.

I think it'll go a little past that and then drop to like 1500. I'm a thread bear.

Lots of people seem to be predicting buy-backs tomorrow when new money arrives at exchanges. If this is really a common belief, we should see this rally start already today, because people with lots of fiat already on exchanges after the sell-off will want to get in early. The day has started off well in this regard I think, but it will be very interesting to watch it develop.
