one should worry if it doesn't pass 1100 by tomorrow, support would become resistance and the tide may turn. i'm 50/50
Well it just passed 1100, in fact pushing 1120!
means nothing. Could be just a burp.

I hate how Gox takes the fees out after the transaction and does not add them into the purchase/sale preview. Its like, "Surprise! We just subtracted $20 from your sale."

That buy/sell/transaction log is the worst i've ever seen, if you can even call it that. It's just a messy cluttered hard to understand table.

Also, don't they start deleting transaction histories once it gets too full?  For me, I had 8 pages of history dating back to 2010, but every day it gets thinner and thinner.

We've seen this before. Capital controls result in desperate buys to get fiat off exchanges.

Once again, bitcoin goes up in price for all the wrong reasons.

I am retarded.  what does this mean in retard language?

It means you haven't ignored Walsoraj yet.

If the bot pattern that I think may be happening is actually happening, we are going to briefly drop to around 1010-1020 in the next 7 hours.

Just a side note... Gox is the only place I have traded where I lost coins having sold higher than I bought them. Ponder that.

What pattern you talking 'bout Willis!?  Smiley

I see.  I've pondered whether bitcoin will correct more if GOX fixed their cashout system.  This seems a bit too bubblicious right now.  I feel bad for the weak hands that are getting in on it right now.

He claims that people are buying bitcoin not because they want bitcoin but only to facilitate taking their money off the exchange. For example, trying to get dollars off of Gox is like trying to wrestle a cupcake from a fat kid.

Just an observation. I do not claim to be in their heads, to be sure, all I am saying is perhaps we should tread carefully and make sure to take some profit on the way up in case we get royally screwed at the end of this. I wouldn't sell to day-trade, but I have sold some to make sure my children have a real nice Christmas. If it goes up, so be it. I'm not going to get greedy.

Yep, I've sold off the money I've made trading altcoins. I'm still holding my initial BTC investment though.
But as it stands right now, thanks to the additional profits from alts.. I'm actually freerolling now. Bitcoin would have to hit a negative value for me to start losing money. That is - I've already sold off for more than my initial investment.

I think there is a very real possibility that all the big players (that would be willing to get in at all) we're hoping to get in and jack up the price got in at the $150-$250 range, and now all the good news is designed to set up some bag holders when they inevitably sell out.

Maybe, maybe not, they have lots of capital, maybe a bit more than you realize. Their idea of jacking it up might be dropping 100's of millions at a time on it, day after day. I don't believe that's exactly happening, yet, especially how inefficient is our infrastructure.

Yes, agreed. I've been overly conservative, selling and buying back too often, missing on the huge gains, learning how great strong hands are with Bitcoin. Still, I'm very pleased with my returns. Beats everything else, IMO, and by a long shot.
