Situation looks very similar to April 7th from that graph, volume numbers are also similar. Main difference is though that total bid sum (and ask sum too) is way higher.

What if the whole crash was the mid-May'11 phase of the bubble (for those of you who were there back then)?

What if it all ends, not at $266, but at $1000?  Grin

I was here for the 2011 bubble, I would enjoy this scenario greatly!  Grin

Thousands of bitcoiners are going to retire soon!

No! When it reaches 1000$, I'll buy a Bitcoin ATM and spread the joy  Grin

140 and climbing. We are roughly up 100% since March 22, even with The Crash.

as you can see from them color full graph, during the climb up, we had 2 stable periods each lasting over 30 hours. these stable periods have very low volume. both these  stable periods were preceded by, a crash and fast rebound.

so what does it all mean?

One can interpret "the big crash" in the same way... just bigger scale (both magnitude and duration).

If we apply the same scale to what happened after the stable low-volume periods (a strong rally) the next leg up will be mindboggling. Maybe $450 or more. However, the stable period would have to draw out for another week or so to match well.

It was not a bubble! bitcoin supply is truly drying out!!! its almost over AHHHHHH!

there are no more bitcoins to be bought! pure and simple!

"But adam look at all the volume when it dropped below 140, most of the volume happened below 90 fuck! clearly there isn't any shortage of bitcoins"

What we saw there was panic selling on a massive scale, something the market is not likely to repeat ever again! we had ~30% of the total bitcoin supply traded in less than 2 weeks! kinda crazy prices didn't fall to 30 if you ask me.

now these panic sellers are goign to be BUT HURT as bitcoin move along leaving them behind with their money, they may decide to take their $ profits and go, and i hope they do, demand is only growing, and its not like it will be raining 3,000,000BTC every 2 week....

IMHO, BUY BUY BUY  Grin
