Lulz. I mean... these fees  Cheesy

Just for the clarity... that's a 1696 SAT fee expressed in millisats.  Hefty, yes... But maybe still cheaper than the blockchain currently?

...Looks like Trudeau revoked the "emergency powers"...

I just read through half a dozen pages of WW3 angst without seeing any mention of the ending of the emergency powers until your post.

I guess whining about them was more fun than celebrating the end of them.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin is soaring.

Celebrating? I thought you liked them, after all they "liberated" you, you fucking bootlicker.

I am thankful the reality of the senate rejecting them brought him to save face.  There is still some hope.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
@jjg...please, develop some reading comprehension skills...i am sad that bitcoin still goes down "first" (not like gold, for example), but it recovers among "first' as well, that was a gist of my post. You can be f-g irritated or not, I don't give a damn, pal.

If you don't give a damned, then why you addressing the matter.

I stick by the substance of your earlier post - even if you believe that I might have been able to read your mind.

Not everyone here can read your mind, so there surely can be value in clarifying some of the ambiguous matters that you proclaim during your periods of excitement..

It seems that investment populace still does not fully belive in a store of value proposition, but i have one better: 'a hedge against insane policies', but this one might me controversial and apply only to the 'third world', albeit canada showed something new recently.

Well, some folks already recognize bitcoin's various hedge attributes.. and are ahead of the game, even if there are ongoing short-term periods of dramatic negative BTC price performances.. It is quite likely that those persons who are at least ongoingly accumulating or not playing around with attempting to time these short term erratic tops and bottoms are going to profit tremendously.. so long as they can continue to hold (and accumulate) BTC through a lot of these difficult to predict times... 4-10 years or more.. and surely the longer that you have been in, the better you likely are going to be, so long as you were not too wimpy in your BTC accumulation tactics... these days, if guys do not have enough BTC, then ongoingly stacking $100 per week is not a bad place to be.. if you are able to manage that amount.. and surely you can do more, but if you are somewhat skeptical about BTC, $100 per week seems like the new $10 per week from 8 years ago, at least when it comes to attempts at reasonable and prudent starting points in BTC accumulation.

Wait, we're about to kick off WW3 and Gold is at 1760 an ounce. Good fucking lord, that has to be the biggest joke ever.

I know lead does well for radiation shielding, how good is a shield made out of gold?

Normal Russian people somehow supported taking out Donesk and Lushansk but what Putin did today was unacceptable, they changed their opinion and support against him including lots of senior officials. (Valkyrie 2.0?)

Thankfully with social media they know what really happend over there so they don't bite the state controled media broadcasting 24/7 propaganda.

With comming sanctions those people will suffer, Putin and his inner circle doing all they can to stop the protests.

Would be ironic if we ended up getting something approximating a $10k UPpity daily candle now, as compared to our wishing for such level of greenie for the past year-ish (already around half way there with a so-far wick up to $39,720 within the past 10-minutes as I type this post).

Russia is a communist shithole, every (political) opposition, activists and journalists are geting killed and/ore arrested.

Remember Alexei Navalny (a good Russian), which Putin tried to kill but survived in Europe? When he came back at home he was immediately arrested with years of prison time which means Russian justice system is rotten to the bone.

Even Memorial Human Rights Center is banned...you know...communism and human rights does not go hand-in-hand.

You got your metaphors all wrong.
Putin is absolutely not a commie. He is an ardent autocrat (authoritarian) with russian nationalist tendencies to boot.
There is not a sliver of communist ideology in his proclamations.
In fact, he always besmirch Lenin (who was an 'internationalist' and commie #1) in his speeches as well.
Watch his speech made before the invasion if you want.

This is a critical distinction, but does not make him any better, of course.

TL;DR Putin=authoritarian nationalist

Biden: doesn't shut out Russia from SWIFT, doesn't stop payments for energy, promises no boots on the ground in Ukraine.
But he will stand up to bullies?

"Are you asking China to help isolate Russia?" -"I'm not prepared to comment on that at the moment."

 Roll Eyes

Embarrassing performance Joe.

This seems as suspicious as hell.

Someone wake him up

Not sure what the fuck he's laughing at

I think I might laugh too listening to that press pool. A bunch of children shouting one another down. Its fucking embarrassing. The only thing I dislike more than reporters is politicians and lawyers. I was watching some old national TV broadcasts...not sure why..think it was some research into central banks reactions to wartime...anyway, I came across Dan Rather...Tom Brokaw, Walter Cronkite and a few others from that era. I dont know..maybe its just nostalgia but the news was presented with a certain dignity that made me listen closely. The evening news was a event for families. Sit down at the dinner table and hear what was happening nationally and abroad. Today is different. The 24 hour cycle and the need of constant live coverage all feeding off each other. Its sickening.
