"AMC says it will accept bitcoin as payment for movie tickets by year-end" @ https://twitter.com/CNBC/status/1424862257352163335

Two observations (not really meant as comment)
  • Theaters are in dire straits right now and it's looking like the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train.
  • AMC is owned by the Chinese if I recall correctly.

Omnibus bills corrupt the democratic process and their usage should be curtailed.  This isn't strictly an American problem either.

Yep.  And for every law rule and regulation enacted, one should be first struck from the books to make room.  Politicians that vote on ANY bill without  first reading and understanding the content should be hung by the neck until dead.  Probably an unpopular opinion, but shit is just way out of hand in this world of no consequences whatsoever.

... Shelby is dick deep in with the Banks

... the real question is, to back the truck up a bit, and ask why the hell the bitcoin legislation was put into this bill in the first place? Who wrote that text? (It reads like something the IRS/FED/Banks cartel would produce) ...  Who got it attached to that Bill?

... all the horse trading after that was theatre, Cruz's attempt to get the whole thing struck out was the only sane move in the whole political shitshow.

The only thing I've read about this is that the Joint Committee on Taxation figured they could squeeze $28 billion from "crypto" currency.  The Biden administration was looking for a billion dollars without raising personal income tax on the not rich so they had the feelers everywhere.  I guess they figure that anyone in "crypto" is rich or that nobody would give a shit about finding creative ways to tax it.  Anyway, this is the current JCT and their gov't contact numbers:

They must have a separate committee or an "expert" panel looking into all aspects of "crypto"; searching these names might just be fruitless.

I "looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which"

for sure such above artistic quotening did not come from this here peep and came from a famous book.. and for sure, you guys know which is which, no?

First of all..surely you would not begrudge a gentlemen a little cocaine and/or hookers would you? And further..this lumpening into some sort of 'you guys' general broadcast..whats this about? I think I mentioned before that I am mostly against lumpenings in general and am definitely against specific lumpenings of any sort.

Suggesting that I am an apparatchik...hah! Equally insulting. Orwell's classic ending to Animal Farm seems to have little relevance as to the actual levels of your disgust.

You use a lot of BIGGEDly words - abovedly.

Please ELIA 5 for yours truly and any udder of dee peeps who are more unsmartie panties than uie pooie  (probably everybody)...

I am quite sure if "we" were to understand your BIGGEDly (and impressive by the way) words, "we" would all (or at least the vast majority of us) be offended beyond the disbeliefs of any individual one of us.

Snap those ruby reds together and say after me:

"Toxic is the most moxic of the toxins"

"Toxic is the most moxic of the toxins"

"Toxic is the most moxic of the toxins"

Angry Angry Angry

I am glad that I got that off my chest.

.... regarding whatever might be the next legg, ......
predict one leg at a time, usually the first leg is the easiest to attempt to predict..
....
If you are trying to predict beyond one leg, then of course, you have to get the first leg correct before the second one is even close to being relevant.

.....

That's 5 legs Jay.... and you didn't even mention a 3rd leg.  That's no fun.....

Well if you were a peep like me, then one of the first things that you would need to do is: "imagine a leg"... so the more legs to imagine the more of a stretch the imagination adventure becomes - at least from this weeeeee perspective.   Wink

And, speaking of party poops, has anyone seen  "____Toxic Moxic**______"?  Ok.  I won't spell it out.. since I am working on being less un-nicer... since we are all feeling MOAR richie at the current moment anyhow, koreck? - especially if any of us may have either bought more lil fiends on our dippening to $30k, or at minimum HEDLed through the past 2.5 months in the event that any of us may have had bought some lil fiends at earlier times (prior to such transitory $30k dippening).

If it doesn't drop below $30,000, we can test $45,000. I bought some Bitcoin and some altcoins to try my luck. NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE. I'm trying to learn the basics.

target price has been achieved. I don't know what will happen next. I haven't learned that much yet. I have to work harder. I'm still a novice. Grin

It seems to me that the odds are in favor of MOAR Up.. maybe until $53k or so?

Of course, even if the odds seem in favor of UP, there is nothing guaranteed in terms of BTC price continued momentum or even reversals.. so maybe I would give ONLY about a 55% chance of UP to $53k before "something else."

Sure, you are correct ashti to have some uncertainties regarding whatever might be the next legg, but since we are already here (in the $45k/$46k price arena, it should be easier to try to figure out what might happen next - because even if we may well only attempt to predict one leg at a time, usually the first leg is the easiest to attempt to predict..

If you are trying to predict beyond one leg, then of course, you have to get the first leg correct before the second one is even close to being relevant.

Otherwise just starting over on a fairly regular basis is not even out of favor.

why worry 2023 is a long way off.

hell 2022 does not seem too close either.

Those are both in the future, so we (royal of course) do not know what might be happening at that time, but if you would like to walkie talkie about the past, we kind of know about that past thingie moar better.

What's going on infastructure bill approved or random dump?

Dump?  Huh What dump?  Cool

Some members have a lot of difficulties to view anything except what they want (or fear) to happen.

We have gone up about 60% in the past 3 weeks, and every little blip is a dump?

Show me at least 10% of DOWNity or maybe a wee bit MOAR DOWN before starting to whine about some supposed dip that is hardly even measurable, even for wee widdow ants.

So now that we have reached $46,759 (in the past 20 minutes, as I am typing this post) - maybe getting below $40k would be somewhat worthy of significance. otherwise.. no need to be waking anyone up in regards to a some kind of supposed dippening that would not even have been hardly noticed had no one said anything.

wtf try to install better than original parts and the computer says "nope"

Tell computer that you like peeps better, and such computer should take a flying leap off of the nearest cliff.. See if it understands that level of beauty.

Who needs a damned computer telling the actual real peep what to do, unless such computer gets more "yes" into its vocabulary.

It's seems like the computer forgot (or has not been properly trained to know) that you happen to be the one with "fuck you" status, not some inanimate piece of metal, wires, tubes, silicon and gobbledy-gook language skills.

well basically i solved the problem by buying a new vehicle that already had all that newfangled stuff from the factory.

i dont mind working on the XJ Cherokee, its kinda soothing in its simplicity. real switches, real transfer case, real everything. well there is a computer but its pretty limited.

Oh?  It did not run you over (yet) after you told computer to fuck off?  That's a good sign.   Wink Wink
