Yeahh.. when you start whining like a little girl, then likely we are going to be pretty damned close to the bottom...  Are you preparing to whine at about $26k and then your voice will get progressively higher in such a way that we start to wonder if you might gonna rage quit.. even though historically you seem to have mostly just gone off and pouted for a while..

Surely a pattern, and nice that you have some self-acknowledgement in that direction.

let's call the bottom at $30k. are you all agreeing with me, Girls?

BRING THE PAIN !

THE BOTTOM IS IN WHEN I STOP BUYING !

EDIT: Orders in place down to $29k. Gotta wait 'till tomorrow to move more powder over if we keep dropping.
EDIT2: Oof. Just got filled @ $30.5k.

My best guess is that we correct 'sideways' with $26k as the bottom end (not immediately but a few bumps away). An excellent period to accumulate more  Grin

Bitcoin no doesn't work like dat.

You don't get BIG ASS price moves and then all of a sudden sideways, but sure at some point there may well be a bit of an up and down price battle and then a bit of a going kind of sideways from there.. but sideways from here is quite unlikely to just happen after dumping so much in the past day or so.

THIS IS FINE! (at least so far)

and if we broke through the bottom at the end of the triangle, than we are fucked or more "buy the fucking dip"-again ... Cheesy

Florida man goes home after four tumultuous years in public office.

Well, yeah.... "self-defined Florida man," who seems to be a wee bit fraidie to go to NY... for some strange reason?

Might end up in dee jail... no?

Poor widdley thing-i-lie.

JJG, are you becoming a conspiracy theorist?
Anyone over 70 years of age with limited sense and means (limited or otherwise) would chose West Palm Beach over NYC without batting an eye; especially in the winter.
There's no state income tax in Florida; New York has the highest in the country.

Sure, you can spin the matter all that you like.  No problema.. we are each entitled to our own considerations regarding motives of people whether we are referring to orange-headed man or some other politician.

You really believe that orange haired man is not a bit worried about some of the intensity of the charges against him, even if it may well be quite politically difficult to lock the "deserve to be locked up fucktwat" up.

Call me a conspiracist all that you like, and sure I don't tend to get into the weeds of too many political discussions, but I have been consistent over the years in terms of of making sure to point out the ongoing and likely even worsening vacuous self-dealing deluded character and practices of orange-headed man.  So I doubt that there has been much of any change from me over the years, just further evidentiary examples along the way, but he should have been pretty well known as a con-man since the beginning of his 2016 campaign (if not in some of his earlier involvement in political runs, too).

Oh no we're poor again!  Angry

So is this it? The great down before up?

I am hesitating to fire my last few quid off the bank account to the broker.
But then i'd be stepping into over-investment territories.

guts say: do it, now!
mind says: don't overinvest.
so what to do now?

#fallingknifehaiku

Of course, a continuous dilema that happens with a large number of us, and sometimes if the crash is hard enough and deep enough, what to do may well become more clear, even if any of us might end up buying far short of the actual bottom that ends up happening.

Twatter FUD or real?

again who will organize the 10k party?  Grin

My guess is we need to organise the party for about $13K if the pump (and dump)  was a like that of 2017. Figures and wording from wiki

1 September 2017   $5,013.91Increase   Price broke $5,000 for the first time.[152]
17-20 November 2017   $7,600-8,100 Increase   Briefly topped at $8004.59. This surge in bitcoin may be related to the 2017 Zimbabwean coup d'état. In one bitcoin exchange, 1 BTC topped at nearly $13,500, just shy of 2 times the value of the International market.[153][154]
15 December 2017   $17,900 Increase   Price reached $17,900.[155]
17 December 2017   $19,783.06 Increase   Price rose 5% in 24 hours, with its value being up 1,824% since 1 January 2017, to reach a new all-time high of $19,783.06.[156]
22 December 2017   $13,800 Decrease   Price lost one third of its value in 24 hours, dropping below $14,000.[157]
5 February 2018   $6,200 Decrease   Price dropped by 50% in 16 days, falling below $7,000.[158]

26 October 2020   $13,000 Increase   Price stayed above the $10,000 mark for an unprecedented three-month stretch.[163]
16 November 2020   $16,800 Increase   Bitcoin has been more expensive in only five other instances in the past decade.[164]
18 November 2020   $18,000 Increase   Bitcoin rallies above $18,000 to trade near all-time highs.[165]
24 November 2020   $19,000 Increase   Bitcoin price reaches three-year high of more than $19,000.[166]
30 November 2020   $19,850.11 Increase   Bitcoin price reached new all-time high of $19,850.11.[167]
16 December 2020   $20,600 Increase   Bitcoin reaches all-time high of $20,600.[168]
17 December 2020   $23,421 Increase   Bitcoin hits new all-time high of $23,421.[169]
27 December 2020   $28,000+ Increase   Bitcoin hits new all-time high above $28,000.[170]
3 January 2021   $34,800 Increase   Bitcoin hit a new high of more than $34,800.[171]
7 January 2021   $40,324 Increase   Bitcoin's price crossed 40,000 for the first time.[172]
8 January 2021   $41,973 Increase   Bitcoin traded as high as $41,973.[173]
11 January 2021   $33,400 Decrease   Price briefly fell as much as 26% but pared losses to trade around $33,400. [174]

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
I thought this would happen after old Joe took office. Hardly surprising.

One of the first things Biden did yesterday was freeze ongoing FinCEN regulation, which includes the self-hosted wallet legislation that was being pushed through by Steve Mnuchin. But since Mnuchin is a Republican everything he does is good and everything Biden does is bad, right?

People hating on Biden over bitcoin are dumb.

Their one dimensional outlook on politics is long outdated, but they continue to cling to it out of a combination of fear and ignorance.

Can't you at least wait until Biden says something like this before jumping to these types of conclusions?

Not at all, it was a meme, as in a joke.

Along with another poster in the thread here we agreed there would probably be a downturn after Biden took office.
I think the excitement of him taking office probably partially boosted interest in investments / stocks, indeed also in Bitcoin over the last few months.
People are just taking (what they think is) profit at the moment. Whether that was due to a comforting factor of a return to less hectic politics (but still very much Wall Street supporting approaches) who knows.

I totally don't agree with some of Biden's policies but Trump indeed was hardly a saint and I reckon he simply didn't behave presidential enough in a year when it was needed most. It cost him.
He took the bait from the main stream media far too often too. The fact he was an outsider was a strength initially but also a weakness especially this last year.

His presence as president did highlight how ridiculous hypocritical both sides of the political divide are in the USA. People such as Loeffler stating there is definitely election fraud, the capitol hill thing happens, "oh because of that I am not going to contest the election." That makes zero sense. No integrity. If they did not believe there was election fraud they should never have gone along with Trump and gotten people so worked up / angry. They are all to blame for the carry on in that respect. People such as Schumer comparing the Capitol Hill thing with Pearl Harbour or 9/11 are shameful too. Regardless, I am not going to concern myself too much with these people going forwards. What is the point.

I think we may drop a bit more.
I'm not too worried.

I think we have seen the bottom of the day which was at $29781 on Binance Exchange. The price is moving up a bit. MA9 is crossing over MA21 which is good sign

One strange thing about bitcoin: it has a $551 bil market cap, but it's price is still moving like a startup or IPO, not to mention penny stocks.
For some reason, it is not being 'tamed' in its volatility as it ages and increases in size.
Several possible explanations:
1. It is still small comparing to the eventual steady-state levels.
2. Large money induces volatility so they can accumulate.
3. It is it's intrinsic property.
4. Some combination of the above 3.

Imagine bitcoin at $1 mil per and suddenly losing 15% in a day because of a rumor or a silly article.
...That would be $3 trillions, thank you very much.
