Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
I've been contemplating somethig recently. We all expect that 2021 will be incredible for Bitcoin. May be the price will cross 50K, 100K, 200K, or even more. With that in mind, wouldn't it be better if I take an unpaid leave of absence from my work for 1 year and go to some exotic island with no internet and tv. My work spot will be reserved, so I have no worries for that. I could just put some sell orders between 50K and 500K and when I return, I will discover what happened. In this way, I will avoid the emotional decisions and selling too much too early.  Roll Eyes

Haha, that's a great plan, In theory. Are you going to be able to execute it given that you're probably checking BTC's price every day if not every hour to see if it finally got above that 20K   Shocked

If you can deal with that and if you're job will be there after that 1 year maybe worth thinking about it but you might miss out on other investment opportunities, like Alts and DeFi projects - just saying  Wink

Oh gawd!!!!!!!   Roll Eyes

Did you stumble out of the ANN section of the forum or did you come from reddit?

Yeah, you can only carry so many clips with you, you really want to make sure you have ammo when you really need it.

Typical load out for M4 or M16 (or AR-15 equivalent) is like 4 mags on your chest, right? That's what I usually see anyway. My own military has no standards, we get what we get, but since I'm an officer I stick to my 1911 as my sidearm. Eventually I'll switch to 9mm. Maybe a "standard" Glock 17.

I'm getting partial to shotguns since most countries don't seem to have too many restrictions on them, particularly if you got a simple manual pump shotgun. A little practice and you can fire that thing in quick bursts, then if you really need continuous cover you can stuff a shell every few seconds.

I have a state trooper friend I know him for 58 years met him at 5 years old in kindergarten .  He owns a machine gun shotgun. Note he is not a NJ to NY state trooper.

He lives in a state that allows this gun. It is a pretty amazing gun.

Thrusters are warming up. Pamping time is upon us.

24K by Christmas, the Slayer Guarantee.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if we hover here for a few weeks or even months. Would really throw those "Bitcoin is too volatile!" Folks for a loop.

However, my gut (magic eightball) tells me we have have 2 maybe 3 days left in this territory before happening bunker sirens.

Your gut is correct.

And if we dont reach 24k by Christmas the CEO of Bitcoin will refund every Bitcoin for 100 million Satoshis for all unsatisfied customers.

A problem with this idea, is that many of us have pretty damned decent ideas that bitcoin is currently NOT stable, but instead "coiling."  So there is that angle to consider.

But even though it is coiled who is to say it is not a sidewinder they coil and go sideways.

BTW. if we go side ways for 60 days we will bart then moonshot like we did on the last 60 bart.

I would take a 60 day sideways movement all the way to the bank.

I thought that the full auto mode was where the fun was mainly at  Wink

Yes, but:
1) Ammo cost goes up very, very fast.
2) I can't think of too many situations I personally might find myself in where the difference between a semi automatic M2 and a fully automatic M2 would present themselves.

It's that time of the year 4-year cycle again.

There's this friend of mine, we often talk about savings and the stock market. She's got her life savings in several stocks (no funds, I think), and she hasn't been doing very well recently because of her gambling attitude. Typical story: she wants to get into biotech, she picks a "winner", buys it, but the "real winner" stock that goes 200% turns out to be a different one, not hers. So she sells (usually at a small loss or paltry profit) and gets on the new train, too late.

Every single time, I tell her it's a marathon, be patient, don't waste everything on fees and losses. She says she pays no fees, so it's cool blah blah.

I've never told her about bitcoin. I don't even know why, but it seemed like a bad idea. But yesterday, she said something about having sold something too early. She seemed so down I just couldn't help mentioning bitcoin as an interesting asset class. I said: "Just throw like 3-4% of your dry powder at it. If you like the way it goes, you can push it further. Worst case, you lose like 50%. You're used to it anyway Tongue"

Her reply: "Oh no, I'm afraid of bitcoin."

Some people just can't be helped. I'm a bit sorry for her (am I? Really really?), but I'll be sure to poke her wounds when we get to 100k.

Thank you, what a beauty, now if I could only get a real claymore as well.

You guys seen ,,, who was it, maybe Jerry Miculek, with a semi-auto shotgun that unloaded 20+ shells in 5 seconds or something.

Nice one, buy the way, did you know that bullets or anything really that comes out of a weapon of any kind is nowadays referred to as "kinetic energy impactors".

Astonishing.
I thought that 20mm sniper rifle, which' ammo basically rips bodies apart, would be the top for decades. I was wrong  Cool
I know. I'm a shotgun type of person myself and while I'm thinking about picking up a M1919 semi-automatic for hunting purposes and home defense this.... is just a different level of interesting...

Maybe if bitcoin hits 50k or so.
