Not causation, agreed. It's still correlation though. If so, one could be used as a predictor for the other - even without a hint to the actual cause(s).

If he can find predictive power in it, bully to him, but do a couple of points in year's worth of data sound like a statistically significant correlation? We can correlate all manner of things if we cherry-pick our data to fit.

So guys, how does the heatwave in Europe affect BTC price?
minimally. but do you think it does somewhat? why then?
I was looking at historical snapshots and noticed what may either be a trend or simply coincidence since BTC price is so volatile.
During the heatwave last year (21-28 July), BTC dropped more than 1000Usd. Same thing happened during the heatwave in 2018.
I am referring here strictly to Europe.

Coincidence.
Get enough data sets and you can come up with all sorts of weird correlations.
To repeat the old adage....Correlation is not causation.

Bull divergence, BTC Dominance, expecting BTC to gain over alts in coming weeks. Waiting for the top indicator to reverse (detects volume movements). ETH currently more bullish than other alts. In that regard, I believe we're in an era of dual pumpage.

Feels good to check back price after an exhausting weekend and find it at $12K again. Maybe some not so distant day it won't be just "good" but euphoric while checking the price. I member that feeling. We all do.
