I'm fructose intolerant (malabsorbtion with systemic symptoms)
Have a nice day, y'all, seems like it's buying time this week again

What about Xylitol? Does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels, no fructose and doesn't contribute to dental decay.
I can rinse my mouth with xylitol, about 4 grams, which makes a real difference, like polished feeling teeth. I don't swallow it, because it will give me stomach aches and also unpleasant shits and much of gas.
Nobody knows why (yet) but some fructose intolerant people don't do well with sugar alcohols (about every sweetener ending with "-ol"). I'm unlucky here.
Many sugars and even sweeteners are broken down to a certain extent of fructose. Lactose is the big exception here. I also only can take small amounts of glucose to tolerate well.
I also had a bad time with Ribose, which is needed to synthesize ATP, the source of energy in muscle cells and for nerve regeneration (mostly with building up gas).
The source of the problem (or lower level symptom?) is that i have no (!) lactobacillae in my guts, according to lab tests. Nobody knows why, but as long as i drink raw milk (cooked up to 70° celsius max.), symptoms are minor and i can tolerate most of vegetables and i recover a lot faster from the "bad food".
EDIT:
Doctors suggest that i damaged my "ileocecal valve", which prevents bacteria from the colon to go up to the small intestines, by supressing farts too hard. Lactobacteria somehow got replaced by other bacteriae, and this makes lactos hard to stay and replicate in the digestive system. On the positive, i don't get no caries, no matter how hard i try.
In past times when i was not aware of the fructose intolerance and worked in offices with up to eight people, lots of meetings, i was full of gas and didn't let out, up to a point where i felt like stabbed in my belly when standing up from a chair. This was likely to be the reason for the damaged ileocecal valve.
EDIT2: Out for the rest of the day. The wife is on a four-day workshop and i'm home alone with the four kids. The next adventure...
