I think it’s maybe a good idea to set yourself a fiat value in sales and then try to hit that, rather than a certain amount of bitcoin you sell. How much fiat do you need to satisfy your needs for the next four years (from end of 2025) until we get ready to do it all again.

So, you are following a different path from JJG, which is primarily focused on the BTC part of the stash.
Of course, the selling is activated by triggering some fiat-denominated values. But I guess it is a consequence, rather than the trigger.
I tend to believe in the case of USD debasement you could sell too early.

As always, the Wall Observer will be a fun place to see the wild emotions of fellow bitcoin bros.
As always. We are here for this, after all.

I think the 4-year cycles will be more and more subdued as time goes on. Going from 3.125 to 1.5625 isn't like going from 25 to 12.5. Proportional effect isn't applicable IMO: the ratio of "new" to "old" bitcoin does matter, and I believe the effects of halvings will get negligible (close to zero) long before that ratio goes to zero.

I've said this before, long before (and therefore independently from) the ETFs. But the introduction of spot ETFs will, in my scenario, act as an additional stabilizer, leveling out the big halving waves even more than they would have on their own.

I stopped drinking or cooking with tap water.  Better go with a soft natural mineral water or filter the tap water with an osmosis filter.  ...and not because of Mr Jones ...

You trust bottled water? Coca Cola and other beverage giants are selling tap water in bottles and advertising it as something pure, natural and healthy.

Nestle bought water fountains in Africa for the cheap. Local low wage-slaves are filling the 0.5 Litre plastic bottles with it, while the rest of the thirsty population has no soure for drinking water any more.
Nestle:  "Whats the problem, they can still buy it from us".

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
The halving was already so far away... Now it's so close, thank God (or what you believe) for the opportunity...

And people have been asking about selling bitcoin.... DO NOT sell bitcoin in a bull run... it seems people suffer from premature ejaculation, you have to make the most of it as you can. See the averages!
I see what you are saying but not sure I fully agree.  People should sell when it is the right time for them ... everyone is different and their circumstances will likely require different actions. Pressurising people not to sell may encourage, err, sub-optimal behaviour ...
I agree with you on this, each person has a very individual strategy... What may be good for me may not be so good for you... But I think it's too early to think about selling, especially those who do position trade or hold. .. we have a long way to go until a new bear market arrives

I just wish most of us could enjoy the bull run as much as possible, but, each with their own purpose, the most important thing is that we all succeed in the end.

Exactamente criptoevangelista!!!!!!

The overwhelming majority of normies either do not have enough coins or they are no coiners... so that tends to be the current default, which accordingly signifies that the default position in regards to anyone who has any coins would be to strive to make sure that they do not sell too many coins too soon.

Of course, there are coiners who have been into BTC for a decently long time, so they may well have concluded that they have enough BTC or more than enough BTC, so they would have more liberties and options in regards to their perspectives upon whether and/or if to sell some or all of their coins... and many of us likely realize that you do not sell all of your coins... or probably not even more than half of them absent real emergency circumstances such as needs to save your life or the life (lives) of a loved one.

.. and sure in the end, people can do whatever they like in terms of how they manage their own BTC holdings, and hopefully they are not so low time-preferenced or desperate as to sell too many coins too soon, in the sense of premature ejaculation as you mentioned in your earlier (above) post.

I treat tap water basically like it's poison.  I hate the fact that I brush my teeth and shower in it.  If there's one thing that was great about growing up in Northern California it was that the water was second to none.  Unfortunately, they even ruined that with fluoride, but I dream of the day where I can bathe in a private river and brush my teeth with well water from snow melt.  Makes you think the current homeless population in some areas are living the dream.

Anyway, if Bitcoin could kindly jump to $200K so I don't have to shower in contaminated water anymore that would be great.  For now, I get those 5 gallon water bottles dropped off pretty regularly...

And i hope it's in glass bottles, otherwise you would be swallowing a lot of micro (10%) and nano (90%) plastics  Shocked
I am really lucky when it comes to tap water in my area, it's almost fresh from the mountains, but on the other hand, PVC is standard as pipe material over here.
Chlorella algae is said to be able to bind micro- and nanoplastics, but i think there was no scientific proof for that, yet.
The most important fluid on this planet should be more valued and protected, imo.

They are fighting for a piece of the cake
A scrub would even be accepted by them
The way inflation is been persistent many Banks wouldn't be able to keep up
What's the safer bet than moving from a depreciating asset to an appreciating asset
ETF have gained alot and Banks are interested now.
If they are given the go ahead
The sad thing is many individuals would still option in using Banks
Because of their misguided safety that the banks provide
Ignorance is bliss but most times its end results are not funny.
