I tried to check out that Money Heist but couldn't find it in English.

And you won't, it's in Spanish.

Is that show any good? Netflix tried their hardest to get me to watch it.

It’s much better as any good, watching it whole again cause my new GF didn’t saw it and first 2 seasons are awesome, now I’m curious if they figured something good out to make the 4 season follow properly on the 3th

But it’s a must watch imo

Just hoping it won’t follow like prison break did

which one?

Obviously the BTC one, dah.

Is that show any good? Netflix tried their hardest to get me to watch it.

Very good, you'll love it.
The first heist is the best so far, the second one is a variation of the first - but both great to watch.

Response to taste and smell changes during pregnancy. This is probably due to biochemical/hormone dynamics. There might be evolutionary advantages in that (what's good for the mother, what's good for the fetus etc)...

Mothers think their own baby's shit doesn't smell too bad, just like nobody thinks their own farts smell bad. Scientists proved it in a controlled study. Now you have the perfect excuse to get out of changing diapers/nappies.

https://www.livescience.com/4141-moms-prefer-smell-baby-poop.html

Quote
In a new study, 13 mothers were asked to sniff soiled diapers belonging to both their own child and others from an unrelated baby. The women consistently ranked the smell of their own child's feces as less revolting than that of other babies.

This effect persisted even when the diapers were purposely mislabeled.

not just that some inbuilt overrides that mean you keep the baby alive.

I could do the nappies no problem, though I am a gag'y person. erm.

No problem wiping arses etc.

Baby sitting (sisters kid few years later) the other day my dadplomatic immunity is gone. Blergh

This is not OK.
Losing any BTC is uncomfortable, but there is also some value in attempting to support the bitcoin ecosystem, and even attempting to take advantage of both the volatility and the price finding functions and interacting and learning from the various bitcoin related systems out there, whether it be something like Bisq, lightning network or some of the variety of exchanges.  There are also wallets and payment vehicles that can be vulnerable too, but can also be good to attempt to support some of those various ecosystem contributions... even while realizing that there are BIG MEANIE people out there who are engaged in various creative or even possible brute force ways to attempt to separate you from your bitcoins.

I've put 1 BTC into a lightning node to help support it in my small way.
I'm prepared to lose it if it goes tits-up.

I don't want to be too snoopy about your particulars, P_Shep, but from what I had read, even a few years ago, it was very difficult to put very much bitcoin into lightning network, and there were also limits regarding how many satoshis could be contained in each channel.  So currently, how do you achieve 1 bitcoin?  Multiple channels?  Can you provide some kind of basic description regarding whether the 1 bitcoin is all in one place or is it spread across channels, and maybe even how cumbersome it might be to pull it out... several transactions or one transaction?  Excuse me for NOT being very technical or even have had experimented with lightning network.. I am kind of waiting for it to become super easy in terms of my adding of my own personal activities in that direction.

Exactly, multiple channels. Whole point is to provide liquidity for others, so you get a little bit of the transaction fee as it passes through your node.
Think the max is 0.15BTC per channel. I currently have just 28. Actually should open some more as some have closed (and so returning the pushed amount). Been trying to get it working with TOR, but not having much luck. As far as I can tell everything is setup right, but can't open onion channels.
And yeah, pretty cumbersome right now. Using Eclair which has a GUI, but still barely does anything other than show the complete channel list of the whole network and details on your own channels. In order to do anything useful, you have to use the API, and I'm not sure there are any tools for doing that yet, but haven't checked in a while. Was thinking of writing my own in Python... Something to do if I get put on furlough Smiley

Patterns are beginning to form. Cheat sheet for the coof:

Risk factors:
Being old. Really really do not be old if you can help it.
Being fat. Don't be a fatty fat fat fat.
Being black, at least in the states. Blacks dying twice as much as compared to their demographic, possibly from a lack of vitamin D due to dark skin. And also from casual racism, refusing to social distance due to this "being a white mans thing".
Being male, men are dying at 2-3 times the rate women are.

Things that can be done to reduce the risk:
Take vitamin D and C supplements. Remember that more is not better, take the prescribed dose. The body is a delicate machine.
Lose some weight fatty.
Drink elderberry juice. It works against the flu which is in the same family, so possibly works against this one too. And if not you get a nice drink out of it.

Hey, my own sister thought her first kid smelled bad when she was pregnant with her second. I explained that this is so she doesn't get the bright idea to eat him.

Lots of stuff has very practical evolutionary reasons. This is just one of them.

Your understanding of evolution seems a bit shaky.
Feel free to propose an alternative hypothesis. I can't fucking wait to see what you come up with.

Response to taste and smell changes during pregnancy. This is probably due to biochemical/hormone dynamics. There might be evolutionary advantages in that (what's good for the mother, what's good for the fetus etc), but the benefits of any anti-cannibalism effect seem dubious at least.
So... sounds like we agree.

Your understanding of English seems a bit shaky too.
You just literally explained why it would be a benefit. But somehow decided that it has no effect on cannibalism, which I hope we will not have to debate the existence of. What I'm seeing is an emotional block on your part.

I was telling the relative about bitcoin and the placement of my various sell orders that were being filled, and I remember saying the location of an order because it was in my head, and then I would tell the relative that the order had filled, and said that I could relax because the next order was not until ______.  The orders kept getting filled, which was quite surprising to  me, but I was not in a place where I could reset the buy orders .. and I kept thinking that it was NOT really a BIG deal because the BTC price kept going in one direction, but I also knew that the backwards reaction could end up being violent, at some time too... so I was kind of keeping in my head where the buy orders would be set in the event that I were to be able to set them.

You are aware that places like Kraken have advanced orders? For example when your sell order is hit, you can automatically have a limit buy order placed.

I have seen that function/feature on an exchange or two, so I do know about the possibility to set orders up like that, but I am really disinclined to employ such mechanism because of the way that I do it that sometimes will also involve some tweaking and reconsidering here or there, and currently, with my current approach, I am NOT really too worried about catching small swings anyhow.

I recall one time I was locked out of an exchange for a long time (maybe a couple of months), and nearly all of my buy orders and sell orders had executed.. like 30% up and 30% down from the place when I got locked out.. Fucking crazy, but I ended up making out pretty good on that because when I regained access to my account the BTC price was still largely in the middle of the range and in the place in which I had started out when I got locked out of my account.

That lock out experience kind of taught me that it does not really matter very much if I reset my orders or not or just take a break from trading while the BTC price goes running all over the place during my lack of interaction.

Applying some TA, extrapolating into the future, you will be just in time for the next cycle ATH.

Wow.  That is kind of a scary thought to read that sentence from mindrust again in isolation and to consider spending 3 years in BTC and for him to have had concluded that he had learned that he had not gotten anything meaningful from the whole experience or bettered his financial or mental position in some kind of meaningful way.   Shocked Shocked

“The reason I endorse Bitcoin is because is just for one frickin reason — you’re not part of the system,” Kiyosaki said. “It’s a separation of government and my money,” he laughingly added, quoting sentiment Pompliano has expressed many times.

Quote
“The Fed is not a bank, it’s a cartel owned by the richest people on the planet, which we’ll never see,” he said, referencing books called The Creature From Jekyll Island, and Grunch of Giants. “The guys that own the Fed control the world,” Kiyosaki added.

“The pandemic is probably real,” Kiyosaki said of coronavirus. “But then you get so desperate, you’ll take the money,” he added referring to various U.S. government efforts, such as stimulus checks to citizens. “It’s communism,” he added.

Ironic post, or am I thinking of a different word JJG?

Even if certain peeps want to make humor** out of my quest, it seems to me that my ongoing and currently unresolved word search remains valid, and very apropos, given the current political/economic/virus drama climate.

**Note: By the way, even though I might I have some seemingly bot-like skills, I certainly cannot read minds.
Bots can predict moves.  Wink

I am thinking (to the extent that we can label what I do as "thinking") that bots can assign probabilities to future events based on past events, logic and putting together the various information that they know, so I suppose that it could be possible** to assign sets of probabilities to the various kinds of thoughts that Hueristic might be having based on his previous words, and other information that is known about him.

**Careful in teaching this bot-like creature too many things; he might become self-aware, and then there goes the neighborhood and whatever little left peeps had of this little rock floating in space of a world.

Lambie's propaganda working fine, i suppose.  Grin

My persona has been having some troubles and ongoing skepticisms in terms of the always wanna be right lambie bambie.  That fuck seems to be right even when he has not been.

so yeah, lambie bambie ≠ humble bumble....

I suppose that he will be back at some point to inform us about some important insight that he has in regard to bitcoin such that bitcoin's upcoming halvening is going to be reducing bitcoin's new supply by half, and we heard it from him first.  So, that upcoming halvening is likely to cause upwards pressures upon bitcoin's price, so we better pee pare our lil selfies and buy some more bitcoin.

So, he can be helpful from time to time.   Wink
