Your comment and that one of cryptoturist are completely disgusting to say the least.

I'm sorry you feel this way bro.
At least I question everything, and pick it up from there.

Enough said.

I can usually be even more skeptical than average in regular circumstances... But I don't think that's enough of a reason to disrespect a fellow member even if it's because of "just in case". Think about it.

+1 Exactly... Empathy is the word you are looking for..

I still don't get it. I would assume that everyone touching that "transfer spot" would inmediately rub/clean their hands with alcohol gel afterwards. What am I missing here?

I would absolutely not push it with my elbow, considering I won't be able to inmediately clean that part with alcohol gel.

I am sure there's must be something that I am missing, but I really don't see it.

Have you never tried to use a hand dispenser before only to find out it was empty?

What are you going to sanitize your hands with then?

Good explanation yeah. That makes sense. I would never depend on a third party sanitizer, but I get the point in this case.

The army is pretty good at fucking things up in bureaucratic loops so having these stations run dry is not a far off possibility. If it was so dangerous it would be funny when you see the last guy running station to station trying to find one that works. Lol

OK, folks, I’m out.  I sold all my Bitcoin.

The thing could go to zero anytime.  It is not backed by anything.

I believe in the dollar, because it is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States.  And the credibility of the United States is unarguable:  If anybody lacks faith in the United States, then the Americans will just bomb the hell out of them, and print more dollars to pay for the shiny new American war.  See how that works?

If you look at a chart of the dollar’s purchase-power since 1913, then you will see that the dollar is a doubleplusgood store of value.

$$$ U.S. Dollar TO THE MOON! $$$

In unrelated news, I have begun my transition.  The immediate impetus is that I’ve been told to go fuck myself so many times, I began to take that literally.  Anyway...  Gender is a social construct, and I was born this way—I am just wired this way.  Respect my choices and respect my unalterable innate characteristics!

I will be asking theymos to change my username to nullia; if he does not comply, then I will sue the forum for gender discrimination.  Henceforth, you shall all address me by the pronouns they/them (preferred) or zhe/zer, instead of using cisnormative pronouns that are very offensive to me.

I recommend that WO implement a Code of Conduct (WOCOC) to prevent cyberbullying, and foster an inclusive space for discussion of TA.  Also, stop calling it “TA”!  That is a microaggressive sexist term that makes a hostile environment for women in the male-dominated world of Bitcoin finance, with an obvious subtextual reference to the male gaze that objectifies the breasts and buttocks of persons of female gender.

No more toxic masculinity!  No more of this:

Now, I will be pretty.  Am I not pretty?  Tell me I’m pretty!  DO IT, OR ELSE I WILL TWEET-BRIGADE YOU!

I would like to thank the American President Trump for being an even bigger liberal than Obama.  If President Roosevelt was the American Kerensky, Trump will be the American Lenin!

I would like to thank the Ministry of Love for curing me of my sickness, and teaching me to love myself.

Now, please, let’s have a hug and wish for world peace.  Which will definitely happen after the Americans bomb everybody in the world to death!

Novartis Chief Executive Vas Narasimhan said Sunday that the Trump-touted drudged hydroxychloroquine, often used to treat malaria, is our biggest hope in combating the China-originated coronavirus, or COVID-19.

“Pre-clinical studies in animals as well as the first data from clinical studies show that hydroxychloroquine kills the coronavirus,” Narasimhan told Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung. “We’re working with Swiss hospitals on possible treatment protocols for the clinical use of the drug, but it’s too early to say anything definitively.”

They're including people with a common cold in the results. Which are typically 20% positive.

"All of the coronavirus tests being used by public health agencies and private labs around the world start with a technique called polymerase chain reaction, or PCR"
https://www.sciencenews.org/article/coronavirus-testing-diagnostic-covid19-united-states

Edit:
According to the numbers on this article: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/03/26/us/coronavirus-testing-states.html
the rate of infection of those tested is 13.5%

Well below the normal 20% rate that people typically have of coronavirus.

They let those test numbers slip, nowhere else do they ever show the rate of infection. Only the "rising numbers" (as they test more people).

13.5% of people tested have a cold.

And when they die of a head injury, they do a quick PCR test on their blood. If they find the coronavirus. "They died a Coronavirus related death".

No Gloves so  touching the top with bare hands makes a transfer spot.

CORRECT.
And it's the #1 mistake when operating these things. Usually you push the lever with the elbow (the one you don't cough into).

It doesn't matter because after touching it you rub both your hands with alcohol gel. It's ok to me.

Interesting. Read on please...

Man who stares at charts (and stars, too...)
cholesterol
Cholesterol gets a really bad rap for some reason. Every single cell in our body contains it, we literally need it to live.

It is also needed to produce estrogen, testosterone, vitamin D and it heals injuries from inflammation in the arteries (often caused by too much sugar/alcohol/other unhealthy modern not-actually-food). In the process of healing it leaves scar tissue, which is probably part of why it gets the blame for clogged arteries.

Additionally, if we don't get enough of it from our food the body just produces the missing amount.

It's one of the unsung heroes in our body, more or less.

That's absolutely right, I have seen a paper that concluded that older people with high cholesterol actually lived longer than those with low cholesterol.

Correct. I described it in a really bad way above, didn't read Ibians reply because he's on ignore.
EDIT: Another inconvenient truth for the pharma industry.

Just popped in to share some info I picked up.

This first one probably applies to most of us in here, since this is mostly a geriatric thread.
I just watched a debate program with some doctors, and it turns out that cholesterol is an important part of the immune system, apparently the immune system uses enormous amount of cholesterol when fighting infections, especially the "bad" colesterol, so people on statins or other cholesterol lowing meds have a greater risk of dying. This might be one of the reasons elderly patients are dying more than others (basically all elderly are on statins)
Amlopidin, a blood pressure lower, is also suspected to make things worse, one of the side effects of that med is shortness of breath.
All the dead from Wuhan had very low cholesterol levels in their blood.

So, to conclude Do not take anything that lowers your cholesterol levels and stay away from Amlopidin during the pandemic.
Personally I don't use any cholesterol lowers, there is a lot of evidence that the whole idea that it causes blocked arteries is a mistake.
And it also causes muscle pain including heart pain and bad memory, the cells and brain need cholesterol to work properly, apparently 25% of the brain is cholesterol. It also makes you low (mentally) it did that to me, when I went of my statins some 10 years ago I almost got euphoric for a week or so. I was om the max dosis and I had a shitload of side effects, headaches that would last for weeks, runny nose, aches, and the mental thing, I was also slower in  reaction, I noticed, when I hit the curb and signs sometimes as I was driving.

The reason why Italy became the European epicenter turns out to be some 60 000 Chinese workers that work in  Italian factories in Lombardy, just so they can put the "made in Italy" label on them.
https://spectator.org/coronavirus-the-price-of-luxury/

And socialists now call for a united socialist union of Europe
https://www.socialist.net/coronavirus-exposes-the-myth-of-european-unity.htm

I think that is it for today, stay safe and make sure your cholesterol is high.

That might fit.
It's also proven nowadays, that cholesterol clogged arteries are resulting from inflammation in the latter, NOT from bad nutrition. That's why cholesterol can only be lowered a little bit by changing eating habits. About 80% of heart attacks result from that inflammations of various causes.
Example: A friend of the family (builder, 38yrs) drove a nail through his upper arm with the nailgun. He isn't the type that wants to see doctors, so he just bandaged it and went on. That buffalo type of guy, if you know what i mean. He had a heart attack a few months later, because the artery near the wound got clogged and when the cluster was released and went to the heart: Boom. Non smoker, non drinker, no history of heart attacks in his family.
Interesting context.
