Bloomberg finally caught on to this story. With @jack being one of the strongest bitcoin advocates out there, it would be better if he was left the eff alone. No doubt also there would be even less free speech on that platform.

Announcements > Bitfinex Repays $100M of Outstanding Loan Facility to Tether February 28, 2020

Bitfinex is pleased to announce that on Friday, February 28, 2020, it repaid $100,000,000 of the outstanding loan facility to Tether. Bitfinex made this payment in fiat wired to Tether's bank account. This payment is all on account of principal. Interest on all amounts due under the facility agreement has been prepaid up to March 2020.

A bitfinex post which does not need a merit.

My TA for the day, in order to contradict my worst case scenario to around $7.4K, which I think is less likely. Not yet confirmed with a Daily close, but keeping a close eye on this one.

Daily MACD Signalling Seller Exhaustion at $8,500

]

As can be seen by the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), bears have begun signalling exhaustion on the Daily time-frame at current prices, though not yet confirmed with a closing candle. This colorful extrapolations is based on the most recent times the MACD's histogram went below -175 while trading the bear & bull exhaustion cycles, as opposed to the bull and bear crosses with the signal line as the MACD is traditionally used for.

The concern is decreasing bullish momentum of each rally (when sellers become exhausted >-175) with the lower highs on the buyer's end of the histogram, as well as other short-term bearish factors. None the less in each occurrence in the past 9 months bear exhaustion has signaled good entries for profitable trades or otherwise break-even trades at worst (such as the yellow and blue recent seller exhaustion).

In the background, the 0.5 fib retracements of the $3.2K to $14K as well as $6.4K-$10.5K move line up around $8.5K at current prices. The RSI is otherwise bearish with room to move to oversold conditions, as referenced below. It's time to BTFD again.

Not yet started new topic yet, waiting to see if the histogram confirms the seller exhaustion by the end of the day.

I think that if the corona virus disease continues to spread in many countries and many infected people will have an economic crisis. There are many reasons why I think so. First, the tourism industry will suffer big losses because people are restricted from traveling in countries with large epidemic regions like China and South Korea. Second, manufacturing industries such as automobiles and phones depend on raw materials in China. The evidence is that many large automakers have difficulty in manufacturing. As a result, stocks fell, gold prices fell and real estate was closed. I hope that BTC will not be affected by Corona too much and that everyone will benefit from BTC.

Lol this maps looks suspicious:

Italy’s number looks low to my own anecdotical experience. Might be 1 in 10 (don’t know about women anyway).
What’s  wrong with Netherlands btw??

The main problem is not the virus itself. It's the fact that our supposed leaders and protectors are intentionally ignoring or even deliberately making it worse. And also the secondary effects, such as empty store shelves and general panic.

My ‘Crypto Twitter’ only talks about Coronavirus. Don’t have television but assume the same.

Honestly I could not care less about this flu (since it is in the ‘circle of concern’) and as a distant observer this feels like the panic phase. Have no time frame in mind in a world of short attention span, but this thing will blow over as well.

You can call me cheap but I am a buyer when there is a discount. Served me well over the years.

just for space exploration junkies...
https://spacenews.com/falcon-heavy-to-launch-nasa-psyche-asteroid-mission/

16 Psyche... 253 km in diameter, weight 2.4x10^16 tons (!), 90% metals, probably enough to eventually built a Dyson (RIP) sphere or maybe not...

https://www.popularmechanics.com/space/deep-space/a11098/dyson-sphere/

Psyche value:
$700 quintillion ( $7X10^20 OR $93 billion per each current Earth inhabitant).

How much of this metal is gold?
Gold stock to flow is going to be revised down!
Probably US (or anyone else) are smart enough not to bring this Gold to Earth...

<…>
Don’t worry, you are going to start local production very soon.

Could be that we all have to accept SARS-CoV-2 Covid19 as seasonal additional to the flu.
This is a very distinct possibility according to some epidemiologist heard on Italian media.
Of course no one knows a fuck of this virus, this is for sure, every day is something new (latest one: dog can be infected from humans).

- 38% of Americans wouldn't buy Corona beer because of the coronavirus.
I bought it because funny. But only once, now I won't buy it because it tastes like horse piss Sad

You know how horse piss tastes like?!   Shocked

How come?  Huh  Grin
I went to the flips once (big mistake). Tried a beer named Red Horse. I can't imagine horse piss tasting worse than that.

There are 6 confirmed cases of covid-19 in my neck of the woods now - all imported - 3 from China and 3 from Iran.

Love this hoody-wearing guy for his TA. Always manages to see the small details while focusing on the bigger picture:

The 30m $BTC chart is starting to show some striking similarities to what we saw on the 4h chart in December.

Shame it's on the 30 minute chart, but was starting to consider whether the 4hr bear flag is a form of accumulation pattern on smaller time-frames.
Either way, regardless of being out of proportion, the similarities are there. The measured move target from my calculations would be around $9,500.
