Oh btw PAMP

Good.

Plus this price action is great for scalping. It's a pity I am committed to only trading with play/pocket money nowadays. The gains feel almost insignificant in comparison to the cold stash paper gains during a proper rally.

Q4 is getting closer.... Just saying.

So to be honest I would not be surprised to see a few alts go up with BTC.  But not so much that BTC dominance goes way under 50%

Yes.. that would entail some alts way outstripping BTC on % rises. With 50% dominance,  20% rise in BTC  infers  some better performing alts multiplying up (and that's assuming its the bigger ones).  I think that very unlikely.

I think there will be alts with big dominance:

• USD stable coins

• Tokenised loans paying interest

• Tokenised bitcoin futures

• New attempts at the “next Bitcoin” including more Bitcoin forks

Basically a plethora of exotic financial instruments and derivatives.   No ICO shit. That stuff is dead.

Congratulations Mic!

I miss those days when I used to have more merit than you. It was something like 600 vs. only 300, now it's 899 vs. 2448. Roll Eyes

Three things I'm absolutely sure of:

1. My death.
2. Bitcoin reaching $100k in the next five years.
3. I'll NOT beat Mic in terms of merit ever again.

You will also arrive, you are one step away from being legendary.

Here is nothing free in this world.

Bull.....  It's called an airdrop.

Almost everyone here has received free coins and tokens.

Dump 'em for BTC

FREE BTC!

I know, but I'm not interested, they ask for a lot of data, custionaries, participation in social networks.

DAFUQ is "custionaries" ?
There is quite a big difference between saying you're not interested in something free, and saying nothing is free.

It seems you don't want to understand my answer.
NOTHING, it's free, and if you believe otherwise, you have a lot to learn. Cool

If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

No, you have a lot to learn, son.  Almost everyone here has received free coins, whether it's BCH or XLM or any other air-dropped shitcoin, and they WERE free, and most of us traded for FREE BTC  You sound like a sore loser and there are still free coins out there.
So WTF is "custionaries" ?

Note the unconventional cAPITALIZATION!

ATH with the new year. Only a year and a half left to 100k. Buy now or cry later.

Get ready. Cool

*who still calls me a bear now?*

Here's the thing...  If BTC dominance is that low then there will be a handful of BIG alts. Just the ones with real use cases and promise.  There is NO WAY the ICO p&ds are going to go back up.  That ship has sailed.

So to be honest I would not be surprised to see a few alts go up with BTC.  But not so much that BTC dominance goes way under 50%

Nope. Looks like you are serious.  Have fun with that stuff.  Keep an eye out for the lizard people.

LOL, out of sMerit, otherwise I'd give you all of 'em.

Snopes may not always be correct but I'd trust them far more than infowars. Also, the person who was objecting to the snopes link can always go there and verify *their* sources. The infowars type of places never seem to have verifiable sources, for obvious reasons.

I find this graphic to be useful as a gut check when reading online...

Nice graph. Saved it.
Looking at CNN and FOX NEWS and it seems to be spot on 👍🏻

Here’s the thing.

I am an avowed leftie and I have never heard of any of the organizations on the hard left of the spectrum, other than Daily KOS.  And I can’t remember having recently read anything on Daily KOS.

But the hard right organizations like Fox News are everywhere.  I regularly read Fox News articles just to see the Republican spin. A classic technique at Fox News is not to report the news, but to report someone’s reaction to news.  For example, Republican X does something bad.  So Fox News reports that Democrat is politicizing issue Y by criticising Republican X.  Fox News would never directly say Republican X did something wrong but they will go into deep detailed reporting on why Republican Z is right to criticize the Democrat for politicizing issue Y.   Watching Fox News is like watching a series of Youtube reacts videos.

This chart portrays left and right as balanced, but completely neglects to consider that the hard right channels are massively funded by billionaires such as Murdoch and Koch, and have massive reach into middle America.  Old people get all their news from Fox News and so middle America’s values are shaped by the outcomes that billionaires want to create.

By comparison, wtf is Guacamoley.  Sounds like a Mexican recipe site.

The listing of AP as some sort of paragon of centrist, unbiased reporting tells me all I need to know about your diagram.

This is from during the Kavanaugh hearings...
Quote
Overall, AllSides found that most of the coverage of Kavanaugh's hearing was Lean Left. However, the rest of AP's coverage remains Center. While there is some Left-Leaning content on AP's site, it is not enough for us to switch its rating from Center to Lean Left. We will continue to monitor AP's media bias closely — particularly, when there is not one story dominating the news — and will continue to conduct research.

I want to be clear here.

I used to listen to a good bit of Alex Jones, way back in the day when the only way I could get it was on the shortwave in between the Armageddon preachers.  I have been something of a student of conspiracy since my early adulthood.  Paying close attention during Iran/Contra and the secret wars in Central America will do that to you.

Also, I have always liked to mix up my information inputs.  In a media environment where nearly all content is propaganda of one stripe or another, digesting a diversity of inputs is a good way to train one's mind to recognize bias.

I will also say, Jones' account of his infiltration of the Bohemian Grove event in 2000 remains very entertaining radio indeed.

All that said, there came a time, right around the turn of the century, when he reported on historic events with which I was personally intimately involved, and I listened to him get it, completely, wrong.

I won't elaborate with specifics, but he characterized an occasion of social unrest as a government organized psyops effort that I knew was in fact a very organic grassroots upwelling.  It has been impossible for me to take much of anything he says seriously since.

Problems with conspiracies start when you know what they are talking about. I love conspiracy theories too, but during time I understood they are usually a big junk of shit, mixed with some perls of truth. Power corrupts humans, that's the recurring motive under many conspiracy theory, and that's one pearl of truth.

I mean, just see what happened to this community when money got involved: most people turned from crypto-anarchists to scammers or spammers in no time. Whales already formed elitary clubs. Mining industry got increasingly competitive, and there are misconduct everywhere (professional, human, etc). You don't need conspiracies to understand why the world is like that.

Ahh...the Grove..a topic all by itself.

Who was that LA asshole who did the flash friday thing?  That was about as far into the rabid right as I delved...   Young and impressionable is my only excuse.

I've always liked the saying.. 'Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you'.
