MtGox still reporting price, last $155

Who knows?

When bitcoinity went down the lag was pretty heavy.  I'm guessing there's some selling going on.

My theory is that big buyers wait for the walls to build up to minimize slippage. They like getting a lot of BTC at roughly the same price.

Yes, it's much better to wait for the asks to fill while the price goes up by $10 so you can buy 5000 BTC at $160 instead of every price point between $150 and !$158  Roll Eyes

Not strictly better, no, just lower risk. I'm sure there are bots out there set to pull asks when a lower one sells in order to capitalize on big market orders.
