You need to do 2 separate orders of $500. $500 is the max amount per transfer, with a daily limit of $2000.
Thank you.

Mt.Gox is embarassing. It's not like they haven't had time to fix this issue. I can't understand that someone with 80% of BTC trade, with that responsibility, is so nonchalant about this. Are they stupid?

The good news is that the market cannot CRASH on MtGox. It will land down .. very slowly .. like a feather ;-)

Does anyone know the max cash deposit you can do from BitInstant to MtGox? I'm trying ~$1000 but nothing works. I thought I saw max transaction was $999 but even that is saying is too much.

Just got off the phone with the Coinlab CEO and he promised me that they and their investors are backing every Bitcoin and $$ balance any trader holds on GOX and they will be offering a buyback at $147 / Bitcoin to mend the havoc they have made on the market by having a stray dog running around in the server room earlier this morning.

Awesome news!
is this not a joke???

The part about the buyback is a joke. The part about the dog isn't.

Alright, that does it, I'm just not looking until $150 is hit over the weekend.

it's quite a gut-wrenching day.

Today a friend of my colleague was to visit at our office, working. Of course we talked bitcoin... he said it's a total bubble to crash very soon and hard (he's a stock trader type, author of a newsletter). He told me repeatedly to sell all my stash, it's a pump & dump and all that (I guess he's experienced with that, lol).

Then he discovered clarkmoody and was blown away by that crazy market activity and observed it closely. He turned around 180 and said completely crazed-out and excited: "this is a total bull market, some dudes are buying like mad, I want in!" (this was after he'd seen the huge sellof down to 125 and subsequent runup).

I was laughing my ass off.

Later he won > 1 BTC on satoshi dice (starting with BTC 0.1).

Totally cracked me up.

We might've gained a new bitcoiner today Wink.

This is the shit I love to read. Smiley

This is what bitcoin does to people.. they come as a guest, and stay as family.

In other news, we're back where we were yesterday.

Surely the bull market is defeated.

perhaps the best way of responding to this would be instead of inadvertantly DDOSing mtgox with a billion pageloads, focusing on getting this thread up to 1000 replies for lulz.

I'm unable to place any trades at all with the MtGox API, has Gox disabled API-trades completely to try to fix the lag?

This will be interesting if it is the case.  I wonder what the impact on price will be if so

You can't trade on their page either, pushing "sell" just refreshes the page. Some apparently can trade?

I can trade, but only because my client does HTTP-retries on error. As said, about 3-5 tries and the calls succeed. Glad I coded it robustly this way.

similar shit here:

API calls crap out with HTTP errors. My client retries and it usually succeeds after 3-5 tries. Dunno what's up.

Trusted Bitcoiner
anyone here use Cavirtex?

i have a question, not sure why my trigger limit order thingy didn't work

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cavirtex-trigger-order-thingy-166343

it was suppose to sell a bit if price dropped below 125, price dropped, trigger didn't fire  Cry
