I have a theory: Mt. Gox's physical security is not enough to store all offline coins at their site. Somewhere out there is an armored vehicle stuck in traffic, delivering a usb-stick.
Hopefully they have it on more than one stick lolI think there is something to say for the theory that their hot storage ran out and had to access their cold storage.
