Seriously, what THE FUCK is he talking about. Price validation? Does he mean price discovery, if so which central authority sets that my man? Jesus christ, this guy has far exceeded the acceptable levels of douchebag threshold

The sad part is, people watch these goons for financial advice.

This a day after worlds most shitty bitcoin interview on bloomberg? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW2UMkGTzDE

hahahaha the guy they chose to explain it... wow. just wow.

I know right?  How can you be ok with yourself sitting there just spouting nonsense?
One advantage though, if bitcoin breaks through, this will make for a hilarious blooper classic !

Wow... that is one of the worst bitcoin article I've seen. They portrait bitcoin as being invented by [evil] "hackers" and currently being developed in some sort of filthy ghetto by some hipster, no doubt to show what horrible "lower class" people are behind it to buy drugs and illegal stuff with your money, then finish with a quote from some uneducated bear to spread fear.

The No.1 sh*ttiest article about Bitcoin appeared yesterday. The author starts off thinking Bitcoin is a bizarre payment system and only learns as he is writing it that it is a currency first and foremost. Then he boasts about being an expert programmer. Read it if you can stomach it...

Does anyone else enjoy the eerie quiet?

It is Easter, so a little quiet is to be expected.

Thanks for the reminder, I always forget when the Goy holidays are.

Wow. Way to just bring that right out there.

I don't get it.  Wikipedia says Goy means "nation", so Goy holidays would be national holidays.... i.e. banking holidays.  Does Goy have some sort of negative connotation that Wikipedia fails to mention?

Edit: from wikipedia, Goy: Modern Usage
Quote
In modern Hebrew and Yiddish the word goy is the standard term for a gentile. The two words are related. In ancient Greek, ta ethne was used to translate ha goyim, both phrases meaning "the nations". In Latin, gentilis was used to translate the Greek word for "nation", which led to the word "gentile".[5]

In English, the use of the word goy can be controversial. Like other common (and otherwise innocent) terms, it may be assigned pejoratively to non-Jews.[6][7][8] To avoid any perceived offensive connotations, writers may use the English terms "gentile" or "non-Jew".

In Yiddish, it is the only proper term for gentile and many bilingual English and Yiddish speakers use it dispassionately[9] or even deliberately.

So I guess it is the only proper Yiddish term, but some people take offense to it.

A lot of ppl are not used to it is all. Oy vey! Now that on the other hand has sunk in and ppl get it. What they dont get can possibly offend. No biggie in my book. Ppl learned something new today.

you have Pesach, Christians Pascha. That should be easy to remember!

The Euro took a small but sharp dip as the exchanges opened Monday this week after being closed on easter Thursday and Friday. Euro stocks climbed a little, but thats a normal reaction to  falling exchange rates. If the market still is shocked on Cyprus and there are more bad news or it has been forgotten Tuesday will be interesting to watch.

Yes it is quiet, people are probably out in the "real world" doing "real stuff" whatever that is Smiley

Consider also that a lot of new Bitcoin owners are less nerdy than the old-guard and won't be checking the price all the time.

I quite like these sideways movements with a few minutes of less than 1% volatility.

If this ever makes it big time that is the kind of deviation in price you can expect over a whole day at most.

Until then, a bunch of dogs chasing a football is bound to be the kind of action we'll observe Grin
