What dip?

Mt.Gox/ EUR on new hights. The last three times the BTC/ EUR walked through the last high - before the USD did - , the BTC/ USD quickly "followed". (In case you haven't bought yet, lol)

Hate to break it to you, but before or after asics, there will still be only 25 BTC per block that are mined. To a large extend, I suspect they will even be mined by the very same people.

25 per block, but until difficulty adjusts a significant rise in the network hashrate would yield more blocks a day than usual. Currently, looking at blockexplorer.com, the last 20 blocks seem to average around 6 minutes each. You'd have to look at a bigger sample to see if it's just a fluke, but keeping an eye on the rate of block discovery might be informative.

When's the next retarget anyway?

According to BitcoinWatch:

Next Difficulty in 893 blocks    3,478,752

I don't recall how accurate that normally is.

 Smiley

thank you for posting this.

k well looks like someone wants to put the breaks on this rally....

... i don't buy it....

look how the price appears to have drop fast yet bids are being placed above the the curent price...

what happened

their was a sell off when they saw the wall

then bids where placed, high and no one sold into them?

i think this chart is a Photoshop / bugged / or if true... really fucking bullish

I've seen it on GoxLive - I believe it was a GoxLive bug, it did not appear on any other chart.

the manipulator aspect doesn't have to be significant; all we need is a steady flow of new demand/new users which I think we can see on this site.

The fact that we rose so fast after a lot of us though we would see a correction and thus sold too early; first we are oversold; second we are 'learned' from this experience to wait till the full top which itself is a 'self fulfilling prophecy.' Last the psychological point to beat the last all time high of around $30 is another driving factor to people holding off selling.

Demand: http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=buy%20bitcoins&date=1%2F2011%2025m&cmpt=q

We are not moving fast, we are moving way slower than it should have been, the rally is deliberately slowed down, to make it sustain longer, to prevent it from turning into a bubble.

Unlike the explosion last time, this time when the reaction core got probably too hot, controlling rods were inserted to make it cool down a bit, freak out some weak hands a bit, and so on, we have seen it several times. Someone with deep pockets and great skills maybe in control,  if they want they could have wiped the mere 20000 BTC separating us from $30 long ago, but it's not in their best interest to do so.

That was what I said.

The 6 million dollar ask wall wasn't a bug, correct? It would be the most trolling bug ever.

I would also like to see a red candle on the daily graph.
