To me, it is painfully obvious that is the same money that was earned in btc sales just hours ago.
Why not see if that works and end up with 10-20% more btc in just a day or three. If fails he is safe with usd which is a good choice to be in right now. In my opinion that bid is too high. Should be at 7-8 and wait a month to be filled unless they want to cycle through the same thing again and take more money from the chumps.

They wont regret it if its recent liquidators of their LTC holdings into BTC and then into USD on mtgox.
