You can find the balance on the upper right corner, just above the account menu (my Bitcoin.de). If you click on the + it will expand and you'll see a list of your balances. A more detailed view is available after clicking "my Bitcoin.de" and selecting "Overview - my Bitcoin.de".

If you use the site in German replace "balance" with "Guthaben", "my Bitcoin.de" with "mein Bitcoin.de" and "Overview" with "Übersicht" Smiley

From there you should be able to withdraw your coins to the wallet of your choice. Here's an overview of Bitcoin wallets:

For desktop I'd personally recommend Electrum. If you want to store larger amounts I'd recommend getting a hardware wallet such as the Trezor (available on trezor.io) and Ledger (available on ledger.com), bought directly from the respective manufacturer.

I personally highly advice you to switch from E-mail TAN to Google Authenticator:

In addition to being more secure using Google Authenticator also rids you of the waiting time for the confirmation Email. Just make sure to make a paper backup of the displayed 2FA key as well, in case you lose your phone.

If you want to change your 2-factor authentication, e.g. change from password table to Google Authenticator, select the following option

"my Bitcoin.de -> Settings -> 2-factor authentication"

Here you need to disable your active 2-factor authentication first by entering a valid one-time password or a combination of your password table. Subsequently you can activate a different 2-factor authentication via the same menu item.

I will repeat again: Google Authenticator. Do NOT use SMS authentication to protect your Bitcoins.

So my questions:  Do I get a new empty wallet, when I register at bitcoin.de ?
Or is there a possibility to create one after having registered ?
No, you use their already existing wallets. I'm not sure exactly, but they probably simply assign a deposit adress to your account, and use that in combination with a DB to keep track of your funds.

Every time when I try to login at "bitcoin.de" from my desktop PC,
I have to wait for an E-Mail TAN as a 2. step for the login.
This takes about 20 minutes every time.

I have a windows-smartphone. Is there a possibility to make this login quicker
                            by using my mobile-phone ?
I'm not sure. I doubt a lot of people here have experience with bitcoin.de, so it might be smarter to contact their support on this matter. (As bitcoin.de does NOT represent bitcoin as a whole, if that was what you were thinking.)

Alternatively, you could download a wallet for your Windows Phone and store your bitcoins on there. It's safer, and probably much faster to access.

If you still do not receive our e-mail with LoginTAN, please contact us via our contact form, https://www.bitcoin.de/en/kontakt.
