Hello, I just switched from android to iphone (please don't start a fanboy war here... I switched because I needed the iphone 5 for development) and was dismayed to find that there were no bitcoin wallet apps out there. at least not from my quick search.

My question is: is there an app out there for use as a wallet, or should I just use blockchain.info inside of my mobile browser?

You can download BlockChain wallet mobile version for Iphone from their store Smiley

Sweet baby Jesus... Android to Iphone?!?  What is this Iphone you talk of?? Hehe  Grin  JK.
I had two HTC 1X plus' have a screen flex issue that left me with a cracked screen and no assistance from the company, so I went to the dark side. I hate myself for it...but the phone works and doesnt crack in cold weather.

I smell a fanboy war.... What have I done?? xD

Just changed my password using only alphanumeric, and it still will not pair with the device.
- snip -

At this point I'd suggest sending a PM to piuk (the local blockchain.info expert).

Thanks man. Will do.

Two things about this from someone who just went through it:

When you try to pair it, don't use the QR code that appears on your welcome screen. You have to use the one under the accounts settings.

If your wallet still won't function, you can jailbreak your iPhone really easily with evasi0n and then install blockchain from Cydia.

Interesting, I used the QR code feature to pair my iphone to my account and it worked fine. Just me?  Huh

+1. It worked. Thank you kind sir. My life just became 12 keystrokes easier.

My pleasure, now go spend a BTC somewhere  Grin

Just changed my password using only alphanumeric, and it still will not pair with the device. I believe the only limits to it are(you can still login manually) that you can only send/recieve. there is no anonymous, games....etc. It does have an address book function and works pretty well. I did have an account sync issue yesterday where it maintained a previous balance until after I restarted the phone. so there are some limitations

then i'll repeat; what is it about blockchain.info's iphone wallet is restricted?

reason i asked is that just yesterday i was struggling to show a colleague how Bitcoin worked but he had an iphone.

First, I think it only pairs with wallets created on Blockchain.info and second, that the wallet had to be created more than two weeks from when you try to pair.

Otherwise it will not pair and will just scroll all the latest transactions.

Basically, it snuck in under Apple's nose.

I have yet to try. Had my blockchain password for a while, so I hate to change it to have to remember a new one. Yes, I am in fact this lazy

It won't allow me to pair my wallet to my phone apparently because my password contains non alphanumeric characters

so if it did, you could?

Blockchain has their own iOS wallet app:

https://blockchain.info/wallet/iphone-app

the website says it has limited features.  what can't it do?

wow how did I not see this?

Blockchain.info is about your only option.

There have been other wallets created, but Apple has yanked them all from the App Store.

do you think this one will be too?
