Automated Bitcoin Fork Claiming
6-18-18 updates:

- *crickets* on the BTH issue. No responses from ZB or BTH devs. Forkdrop has updated their page: https://forkdrop.io/bitcoin-hot
- Bitcoin Prime seems to be one of the only "hot" forks coming up. Lots of buzz. We'll be ready for it.
- Still having fun at satoshis.place testing the lightning network.
- We have sync'd a handful of new nodes. Let us know if you find anything trading we may have missed.

Several weeks ago I had a bad experience with this Fork extraction site.
BTH was included at list and I tried to send my BTHs to zb.com ... I did not work and my coins never arrived.
I contact to Walleting Services but not results. They quickly removed BTH from the fork extraction platform due to this malfunction and this was good for next users, but not for me.
Where are my BTHs? What is the next step? Any suggestion?

Thank you for the feedback. We understand you had a negative experience with Walleting.Services. We will use this situation to see how we can improve the service both technically and from a client-facing standpoint.

The issue with this extraction has to do with the BTH network, and is somewhat explained by them in this tweet:

https://twitter.com/BitcoinhotF/status/1002119635896909824/photo/1

The BTH network has recently undergone odd & unknown changes. They talk about "New BTH" & "Old BTH" without making any technical details public. After your extraction didn't go smoothly, we quickly took the coin off our service to prevent further issues with this coin. Their Github remains unchanged for 6 months: https://github.com/BitcoinHot/bitcoinhot

We performed the extraction to their GitHub's network specs, and we see the close relationship they have with this ZB.com exchange seems to have something to do with "old BTH" & "New BTH," but we can't find any further details.

WS is happy to explore any reasonable resolution to this matter, feel free to reach out via email. (We delete all email regularly to protect client privacy)

Thanks for that, its good to know. Am working on finding the right exchanges for each coin so I can have a deposit address :-) Then I'll be in touch.

Check the 1st post of this thread for exchange info: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.24929414

Thank you, we see Forkdrop picked your coin up too: https://forkdrop.io/classicbitcoin
Because most of our clients extract to an exchange, we usually wait for coin to start trading before offering it for extraction. We will sync a node and see what happens.
thanks for your assistance
i will inform you once we get a decent exchanger.

Note: We had an issue with the automated extraction tool that has now been fixed. The last ~20 hours or so extractions didn't work.

Again, issue solved & is fixed.

Thinking about using Walleting services to claim my forks. It looks legit just wanted to make sure incase anyone had any bad experiences. Thanks.

Thank you for your interest in our service. Please check the feedback in this thread and also on our Reddit account: https://www.reddit.com/user/Walleting_Services

Any client with a negative experience is also important to us, as our reputation is everything. Note that this thread is not self-moderated, thus if we ever disappoint a client they will not be censored here.

We are available by email @ [email protected] should you have questions.

The service is called Wallet.services, I'm going to assume that you're going to offer something else in the future (excluding the fork extraction). What is it?

https://walleting.services is the site name. We are already doing crypto consulting, helping individuals and businesses set up secure wallet instances & designing personal backup strategies.

We plan to stay agile, if there is a market that needs a high level crypto tool, we will make it.  Our team is young & hungry, we plan to use the trust gained by our bitcoin fork tool to branch out into other areas.

We have been considering becoming an EOS Block Producer, even if just on standby. We have machines all over the world and can scale easily.

For now we will concentrate on the fork extraction, as it is what we are currently known for.

Having clients being able to reach us whenever *they* need it only seemed like the best option, and in a situation like this, we assume if the client doesn't see the TX they will eventually come back to the service and say "Hey, where's my money?"

Makes sense and the blockchain is public.

Totally agree with that.

Keep up the good work.  Excited to see this API possibly.

Because WS stores no customer data, we are posting this publicly to say that if you are that client, no funds were lost but you must run the extraction again if you wish to create a valid tx. Our BCH system is verified working now.

I feel your pain here... I bet you don't find them.

We have never found a MIA customer on fucky stuff for our digger.

Makes me feel like giving the customer the option to give contact info probably isn't a bad idea.

All respect to the CLAMs digger.

WS decided that our mailing list at the top of the extraction site would be the only option of giving us your info. We keep our [email protected] email channel open & check DMs here & on Reddit. Having clients being able to reach us whenever *they* need it only seemed like the best option, and in a situation like this, we assume if the client doesn't see the TX they will eventually come back to the service and say "Hey, where's my money?"

I'm not sure what, but yes, there is something strange going on with BTW. I had a transaction take 4 days to get 1 confirmation. And more than 24 hours later, still 1 confirmation.

Would not be surprising if there was one large miner (or to purely speculate, maybe a mining contract purchased by the network creators that recently ran out) and all of the sudden the network hash rate is super low, and without any BCH-like EDA, the network could slog along like this for months and months. Because BTW is already little used, this may be the nail in the coffin. We'll have to wait and see.

UPDATE on my BTW transaction:
It has now been 8 days, and I have 3 confirmations.

It looks like there were 2 mining pools supporting BTW (uupool & vvpool). uupool seems to have dropped mining it all together, and vvpool has very little hash power for BTW.

It's not looking good for BTW.

My transaction is stuck between the Pie Wallet and the Pie Exchange. I'm not sure how many confirmations I need before I can trade. It says "more than 2 needed". Wow!!!... That's not very specific.

It sure would be nice to see someone point their mining rig at BTW.
If you have a GPU mining rig, please mine BTW for a week or 2. That should do it.... At least for me. :-)
(yes, I know... Why would someone burn all the electricity just for me?)
(Well, you never know. There are some nice miners out there.)
(And they will make some BTW along the way.)
