Hay!! Guys!!!
We are going to be listed in some exchanges shortly!!
So, Stay tuned and keep mining man!!

i don`t think so

Yeah, you keep thinking while we keep working and sort something out soon!! because we are workers not thinkers!!

oh yeah -- maybe that's why we don't know the difference between "Hey" and harvesting some hay -- or maybe it turns out you're drinkers rather than thinkers...?

After cashing in on some semi-wreck and then just bugging out, this "old dev" turns out to have been pretty big-mouthed -- and myself and many of the others not sufficiently doing their "due diligence" as falling for just one or two promises and coin features, however convincing sounding, was still too fast.

Anyway, the coin's nice features of fast block time, just 2 confirms, and its overall suitability for actually BEING USED for payments online and off- would be a tremendous waste if one just let it go down now...

So let's see what (if anything) is finally coming together over on the new thread!

Hi, this is Peter with Bitcoin Corporation, the new owners of WampumCoin.com and other wampumcoin Assets.

What I mean by WampumCoin Assets is that since a cryptocurrency typically is designed to be decentralized,
we really shouldn't speak in terms of there being an owner of the Network, just certain originating Assets that contribute to it's function such Wallet balances, outlets such as informational websites, and Nodes thats facilitate the peer to peer functions. The more of each of these, the stronger the network. In that sense we have acquired these Assets.

Some of you might find it curious that a Company with the word bitcoin in it's name would have and interest in Wampumcoin. Bitcoin Corporation started off as just a Holding Company used to market to a specific type of investor interested in earning returns from bitcoin related holdings. We have never been financial advisers. We have just been interested in marketing good things to interested parties. That said, on one hand Bitcoin
is the original leading cryptocurrency where it all started. On the other hand, Bitcoin Corporation is just a name! One that we already had, so we still use it.

Ok, not wanting to take away from the original idea of WampumCoin, as minor crytocurrency marketers our purpose is to push WampumCoin in to the consciousness of every cryptocurrency user for every useful purpose that a cryptocurrency can be used for. On that note we're developing some campaigns to push WampumCoin.

Also, We made a deal with the previous owner of Wampumcoin.com to purchase a total of 9 social media accounts. 7 were not delivered.

Of the 7, bitcointalk was one. We attempted to secure the account with no success. Here is the text from part of that attempt:

"...he did not pay me a single penny for all that works I have done for lifting wampumcoin in this stage since the very begin!! And he did not even tell me that he was going to sell it, he just took the accounts and passwords, and cut every contacts with me!! So, I had to do something!! now if you need these accounts you have to pay me!! I want my money that's all!!
Thanks"

Also, as part of the deal in writing (list and chat dialog as proof) we made with the previous "owner" of Wampumcoin.com, etc. the list included a total of at least 9 social media accounts included. 7 were not delivered.

Of the 7, the bitcointalk 'wampumcoin' was included. We attempted to secure the account with no success, being cited that the previous owner owed money and the account would not be turned over.

Thanks"

Because we own "wampumcoin.com" and we were lead to believe that the account/s would be transferred to us, we registered a different account for wampumcoin here at bitcointalk and saw no need to waste money.

The account "wampumcoin" is now unrelated to wampumcoin.com and the original distribution at https://github.com/wampumcoin. Please disregard any messages from that account.

And if any one has any ideas to facilitate that, we'd love to hear from you.

Thanks
Peter

Thank you for the update.
Looks to be alot of turmoil in the crypto world coming... those with the long term plans and solid foundations will survive (hopefully)

@Goattrading: I can see you got many of the good (as in **reasonable**) coins in your sig line here...

As far as Wampumcoin is concerned, we need to stick with those plans (and revive or re-instate them, if necessary, for WAM) to move forward. There is still that same potential in WAM that I talked about (here and on other platforms) all the time. WAM can have lots of merits by and of itself! Now it's time for the new stakeholders of the WAM project to realize this and move it in a good direction.

Good marketing and communications with the public in order to have the market pick up a coin for **real use** is essential here -- much more than all that cheapish To-the-Moon or Outer-space talk!

Thanks I also collect/trade/amass ..
Bells, casino,  Community, Doge, ECC, EDU, Fair, Fast, Flt, Fedora, Hex, Love, MIM, Octo, Silicon, Solar, Zeit...Sat, Spa, Tak, Tes, WC, Zed, Zet, Emo...... and so on... One or several of these is going to survive. Some are best to hold others to trade the Alt out of them  Wink

I agree with you. Wampum (the Dev) said they were not only American Indian but that they had connections to get Wampum coin placed with tribe(s). Thats huge unto its self as getting audience and acceptance from the triable board is not an easy process. The difficulty grows exponentially when were talking about a casino owning tribe as they get solicitations constantly and access requires many hoops.

The new holders/Dev/ whatever http://bitcoin-corporation.com/index.php has its members located across the US. I havent had time to do this but contacting them directly might be the best route to determine the over all plan and working with them directly to implement rather them post on public forum so that work can develop with out outside interference or manipulation. Since Wampum is sorta under the radar .. it would be best to build a solid foundation before attempting any promo.......

For all I know that what there doing.

Github version 1.1-updated already

I updated the installer and Qt of build 1.1 with new nodes, checkpoints, and the max wampum coin update.  Yes we raised the coin count on wampum just a little bit. In addition, its built with the newer OpenSSL which fixes the "Heartbleed" issue.  Another node is being added, and the current nodes have been updated as said above.  This will fix any synching problems with the networks and wallets from here on out.

Well Put!
on all points....

I would like to add to the reasons for the recent decline (aside from the decline and rebound from mt gox)

The above breeds uncertainty for those that see the media as gospel...

When the option to trade or purchase something in there own county is being taken from roughly 20% of the worlds population and the option to liquidate has a short window, a decline in price is guaranteed. And since interest in cryptos for the less then properly informed general public is directly related to Bitcoin, a tapering off in public interest is expected short term..

Exchanges are  moving and for the time being the crypto communities have a chance to increase there holdings on low diff, organize and build the solid foundations needed to survive for the longer term.

Why is anyone mining and/or supporting this hunk of shit?

There is absolutely nothing new or innovative about it.
Stop spreading us so thin you fucking idiots.
Stop jumping from new coin to new coin.
If we all stuck with the innovative and unique coins they would all rise in value. Instead everything is sinking like a rock cuz you fucking dolts are too stupid to understand which coins have any potential and which ones are coingen pieces of crap.

I am very happy to see that someone/s is getting worried about our progress which determine that we are on the right track and doing well Smiley Smiley Smiley

woe-hoe-hoe -- another one of the strongmen out there turning out to be scared sh**less of competition and thinking he needs to be rude then :)))

Here's some news for you: in case you missed it, the global economy is "a little" bigger than even Bitcoin's $10bn market cap, so there is plenty of room for a few more than just Bitcoin. We use to call them Altcoins around here :)

Latest downward price movements in Crypto coins are not primarily caused by the existence of Altcoins but rather the lack of incentives for the stupid herds in the mainstream to move into Crypto (or apparent lack of dis-incentives for using the dollar and other fiat garbage out there; same problem with precious metals lately, no one appears to really get it yet). This could change abruptly anytime, we're actually dancing on the volcano anyway.

Be that as it may, I predict that at least 90% of Altcoins will go away in the short to medium term. The free market will decide which ones.

While it is true that many Altcoins don't bring anything new to the table, and particularly many of the latest additions are outright ridiculous (some even pathetic) indeed, I will enlighten you as to why I thought Wampumcoin was worth giving a shot:

  - Wampumcoin appeared to have a sensible plan for building a real economy around WAM right from the start (even Bitcoin lacks this),
  - there were wallets for the big-three OS-s available for WAM the moment the coin was launched,
  - the Wampumcoin launch was flawless,
  - the fact that a total of 34bn coins will be mined is actually good, as it provides ample liquidity for adding Coloured Coins, Smart Contracts, any other super-layer functions (Mastercoin-style) later on (note that you cannot reasonably do that in with Bitcoin's measly 21m coins, a big downside to BTC, as it turns out); this IS something making more liquid coins like WAM stand out over many other coins,
   - starting out with a viable selection of merchants (see wampumcoin.com website for details) is another plus for this coin,
   - it all lies in the hands of the devs as well as a sensible community of users, merchants, miners, and traders to make something of this,
   - it remains to be seen how this all will play out, but the potential is there!

If WAM is flexible enough to learn and move forward, succeeds in getting those planned-for merchants on board in accordance with the Wampumcoin business plan, is open to wrap itself around future additions etc, then this coin can stand out. That's what competition is all about -- and not bullying.

Wampumcoin was added to voting at Comkort exchange.

Good luck!

Thanks  Smiley

PLEASE, EVERYONE MINING WAMPUM, REALLY DO VOTE for Wampumcoin on https://comkort.com/vote/#WAM right now!! New coins are added every Sunday, so it's essential to vote Saturday afternoons to get it moving to the top-6 entries by late afternoon Saturday (6 pm EST, that's midnight, exchange time).

So far, it's pretty obvious that I am voting all alone with like two others there. What is this, really?! EVERYONE, come on and support us -- do it!!

I mean, all the big miners and "strongmen" out there have been complaining and crying like pu**ies all over the place for there being "no RoI in this coin" and stuff. And then no one cares and even votes -- or what?! Come on, how bad is that: pure entitlement thinking -- can't believe it. So show us, show all of us, that there are people who care for this coin and make it happen!!

Click https://comkort.com/vote/#WAM right now. You got 1 vote per IP per hour (site visitors, unregistered) or 3 votes per hour (registered users). Vote now. It won't work any other way, it won't happen all alone...

Thanks  Smiley Smiley Smiley
