Then help me find them!

Here are the biggest wallets to start with:

http://bitcoinrichlist.com/top100

The Winkles own roughly 92.000 BTCs ("Their investment was worth $11 million in April at $120 per coin." Source: http://www.cnbc.com/id/101190181)

I saw a video where they stated, they still hadn't sold any coins, I'm pretty sure that video was from September 2013.

So which one(s) are they? Any additional hints?

Would be hard to track because Robert M. Faiella had them put all their bitcoins in Mt GOx for safe keeping.

"Robert, we're both new to this Bitcoin thingy, and..."

"Don't worry about a thing. I have two friends of which I work closely with on the board at The Bitcoin Foundation."

"Good enough for me!"

"Me, too, Skro!"

"Great! I brought along some NEFT to celebrate."

"Well, you boys ready to sign? We're losing money!"

"Shouldn't we have our lawyer look..."

"Already ahead of you! Patrick wrote it."

He he, nice story there!

So much for the first wallet on the list above belonging to them: https://blockchain.info/address/1f1miYFQWTzdLiCBxtHHnNiW7WAWPUccr

But...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-switch/wp/2013/11/09/the-11-million-in-bitcoins-the-winklevoss-brothers-bought-is-now-worth-32-million/

Quote
A lot of people laughed at Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss when they announced in April that they had acquired $11 million worth of bitcoins. The announcement came on April 11, the day after the virtual currency hit a record high of $266 and then plummeted to $120. Over the next few days, it would fall as low as $50, cutting the value of the brothers' bitcoin stake in half.

Since it was mentioned that all the wallets are somewhat connected, I believe more hunting is in store.

These wallets clearly seem to be from the same person. All have 10,000 BTC each. All were created on Dec 23, 2013. That's over 200,000 BTC worth about $160 million USD!

I haven't looked at the data to determine if your use of the word "clearly" is accurate here, but one thing that's definitely NOT accurate is your use of the word "person". Use "entity" instead.

People annoyingly forget that many of the big wallets are likely exchanges or other bitcoin-holding businesses, which in turn, likely represent thousands of individual holders.

Q4 2013 in their reddit AMA they verified they still hadn't sold anything.

People who are new to bitcoin don't care cause they "only invested $1000" but then they realize they are paying with their Mycelium wallet since 2 years and their transaction history always involves one address and they moved a fortune worth of coins due to price increase …

I don't get what you want to express here.

I used bitcoin spinner for a long time until somebody noticed that my account processed 15000usd and I never had anything near that number on my phone. It was just the accumulated ins and outs of my phone over 2 years. Bitcoinspinner is now replaced by mycelium which I did not contribute so far despite me advertizing it in my sig.

I would like to find out because I would be really interested to know when they will be selling in the future and how much. If you have any ideas or info how to go about that, let me know!

Who you like someone investigating how many bitcoins you owned? Wink

Feel free to go for it! Smiley

Lol, I would have never expected answers like that to this thread!

Just pointing out they have a right to their privacy, same as you and me

Some people in this thread are funny.  Forbes puts out their list of Top 50 richest people in the world and it is very interesting and many people read it.   Of course the top bitcoin holders is an interesting subject as well.

For me, it's not about celebrity gossip, I really don't care if Kim went out with Lindsey or what Britney's dog has eaten lately.

Those Winklevoss guys are very smart, and they got in early and held all the way through. I would really like to know when they sell so I can use it for my own decisionmaking.

If smart they used 1000 keys

I know, and they ARE very smart.

I thought maybe somebody would have additional information. But this is probably a lost cause. *sigh*

I think he was that was just an attempt to plug his wallet software (it's in his sig).  That made no sense in context.

Also, my guess for wanting to find out which wallet belongs to the Winklevii would probably be to somehow track their future investments.  However, I would imagine  that they would probably split into smaller wallets and do some coin mixing.

There's no way they keep their Bitcoins in a single wallet.
Probably spread throughout hundreds, if not thousands.
