Anyone with $500k can setup a company in a rural area and hire 10 people to do whatever, and get a green card. There are a law firms and such that will set everything up for you, you just gotta have the $500k.

I think the question was: out of the millions of available Americans, why you? What's so special about you that you stand out from the rest? What would your potential spouse get from her payment? In other words, what makes you worth a few million dollars?

Think of it this way. If someone has million of dollars, why would they want to want to come to US? The legal way of getting a green card cost much less than a million.
