The scam was those offering me less than the peel value of the coin.

Did you actually end up peeling it then? Shame if you did, as they are very easy to sell in pristine condition even if you ignore the inevitable lowballers. Only a few thousand of these coins were made, many were lost and redeemed already.

Now I look at the message again, starting to think it was the original poster who sent the private message on a different account because they were restricted, so apologies if that is the case.

Can you explain further on the forks and peel value. Also, how do I use that link as it wants my BTC wallet address?

The current peel value of a 1 BTC Casascius coin is more than 1.22 BTC.

Here is an easy tool to check:
https://bitcore.cc/checker.php

This tool doesn't include all the forks/clams/etc or the amount would be higher. It credits the Bitcoin Diamond at 1:1 when it should be 10:1 so you have to multiply the Bitcoin Diamond amount listed by 10 to get an accurate calculation. You might also keep in mind that the Segwit2x fork is right around the corner with a current futures value of $270 each.

The coins are loaded with 3 coins due to the forks. They have 1 x BTC 1 x BCH 1 x BTG

and apparently another fork called bitcoin diamond
That's a skam! AVOID!

Be careful guys, it seems like there is someone trying to impersonate this user, I received the following message:

Hi this is dreadwing, i posted my physical bitcoins a bit a go and made the mistake of posting my Skype address so getting a ton of people trying to buy these but most seem like scammers.

I want to sell these but since I am new on here and this whole process, I do not want to so something stupid or get scammed out of my coins. I can only send 2 emails a day on here but if we can chat via some other means, that would help me get these posted the right way.

You seem to be a solid user so would really appreciate any help you can offer on selling these.

Thanks

DW

I might not have noticed, except there was a message from the real dreadwings before that one.

I made the mistake of posting my Skype address so a ton of people spamming me. Here are the other pics that I took earlier.

Since I am a new member I was not able to respond to any private messages or do much to respond on here. I purchased these 6 years ago and never sold because I liked the coins. I've been out of the scene for 6 years so was wanting some advice from the experts on here to help maximize profits and have these go to an actual collector.

Thank you to WritingG123 and Blazed for explaining the forks and that by default it is already worth more than 1.2 BTC plus the rarity of the coin.

Why would there be escrow?
Not my fault a couple people dont want me to intefere with their lowballing.

Oh right, says the red trust guy on sales thread proving that thread is nothing but lie consider the OP don't have the coins funded anymore ? Cheesy
That just made the start of the new year more fun than expecting
Smiley
What does OP and me have to gain from lying lol.

I consider this conversation as useless based on the current information that the thread is no longer valid based on that OP redeemed the coins but yeah, i smell there was something wrong with that guy Smiley

If you're interested in checking for some of the forks. There's probably like 10,000 more forks.

Use the firstbits shown on the coin to get the full address using like walletexplorer.com, then put the full address into the tool blazed posted to find out how much total is on the coin.

Ouch.. they look rough.. if give you 1.1BTC each fella escrow with minerjones.
Low BALLING again! you can trust cunts like TMAN and LC to offer less than the face value!

@OP. Just peel em' for the BTC and BCH

Your panties in a bunch this morning? Not nice to call people "cunts" unprovoked...  Sad

I'll offer 1.15 each
Not unprovoked

There was no reason to call me a cunt.  None.  Are you homophobic?

You are not nice.

I've been reading your username wrong forever, your username is actually lesbian cow, referring to that you might possibly be a female, like other females and be plus sized. O shit
