I have lost money several times already sure to being unable to open or close a position on time.

Their system works when it wants. It is for sure very suspicious to say the least, moreover when most of the failures happen on margin positions.

Thats not what I meant. I was asking for screenshots of what actual orders that you did and with an accompanying statement or explanation of what you want to happen. Kraken has a very confusing trading interface and its not the same and its more complicated than Poloniex. I had to figure out how to make a short order for hours before I finally found out how.

I got this weird thing not long ago, I didn't understand what could be done this so I was blaming myself. As it does not happen every time if you noticed. Glad to read that it's not a mistake from my side and that I am not the only one.

@bonooll & antiheld: Thank you for your reply, not that it is good, but I'm kind of glad to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.
@pinkflower: Help is much appreciated, however, I dont think that your able to help much in this matter (no offense meant) unless you are a Kraken employee.

This issue has been going on for months now. The first time I noticed it was end of May, and it was noticed in several markets. And apparently already at start of May taking the info in the filed class A lawsuit (not filed by me and my business partner though, just to be clear about that, we just found on the net). For those interested I will upload a few screenshots of several occasion later where this happened to me. Screenshots were taken in the Cryptowatch interface, as it shows all necessary info.

Hello,

I had same issues yesterday and today. I had some short positions on ETHEUR yesterday till ETH was on its low of 117€. When it began to rise I did a 100% close order first with a limit. When the Limit order was not fulfilled, I executed a market order but even this did not make the trade. I lost about 1.5k € and was wondering if I did some mistake. Its really bad because i had 25% profit when it came to 117€. I tried to minimise the Damage but after all the Order was closed at 142€ and a total loss of 1.5k€.

Today I wanted to close a short position. It was closed but directly after, the same close order was executed again, so that i had an open long position. I canceled it directly but there came a new one. This happend many times in just a few seconds so that I logged off and in again. After that it worked again but I had 4 open positions!

Something is working really bad!

Accompanying screen shots would be nice. Lets see whats wrong and what can we do to help you solve the issue. I used Kraken regularly before the big fall and had no issues with them so far.

Maybe they are having the same problem as Poloniex as the no. of users in their platform increase extremely.

couples of hours ago, i placed some market order(known as instant order). and it was there(on the market) for nearly one hour without being traded....  after around 30mins i cancel the market order and use limit order with a higher price than market price then the order got traded.

is this normal that market order not be traded immediately?? as i know it should be traded immediately unless there is no any opposite order on the market. am i wrong?

Since a few weeks we are having some issues when trading on Kraken Exchange, and since Kraken has not come up with a solution until now, I would like to share it with the community. (Maybe someone else is having this issue too).

The problem is it can very well occur that your trades which you place on Kraken are not traded even though the limit of the particular order was passed. This happened already on countless occasions. For example, today I am waiting for more than 30 min for a few limit sell orders to take place which were placed below the market price, and even though the price passed their limit several times the orders have not been traded. The order were/are shown in the open order list (also in the right market) so they were accepted by Kraken, with the exception of being executed.

So, if you need to be sure that your orders are been traded it is most probably the best choice not to trade on Kraken anymore until they finally resolved this issue.

In case needed I can upload screenshots of several occasion where this happened.

Also I would be interested to know whether other people are experiencing similar issues on Kraken and/or other exchanges.

Furthermore it should be noted that a lawsuit has been filed against Kraken for a somewhat related issue. Please look for "1.-2017-7-3-CLASS-ACTION-COMPLAINT-Clark-et-al-v-Kraken".

For me and my business partner this means we will stop trading on Kraken, thus withdrawing all our funds, because Kraken is in our opinion an unreliable trading platform.
