Warren Buffett is a traditional investor. He does not invest in technology. Buffett also admitted that he missed out on investing in Facebook, Google or Amazon

No one can get everything right, so why not take a chance on the cryptos market? There are projects with a lot of potential, whoever enters the beginning always gets the best opportunities.

“Cryptocurrencies will come to bad ending”

in a way i agree with this statement!
the altcoin market has turned into a shit show for good. we are used to it by now so we no longer see the manipulations and pumps and dumps, it is like a normal thing for us to the point where some people started believing it is real rise that altcoins have!
this can not end well. in case you didn't know manipulating the market is illegal.

I agree, I see only a few dozen (being optimistic) of successful long-term projects.

I don't care much about Warren Buffett. Yes, he is successful, influential and very rich. But he is not perfect. He missed many opportunities what he says doesn't mean he will be correct.

As far as I remember Mr. Warren Buffet is not a fan of Bitcoin. He has been saying these for a very long time and probably he is surprised that even though he advises people to avoid Bitcoin just more are investing on it. Obviously Mr Buffet is a very successful investor and I usually listen to his advice when in comes to investing in stocks and commodities but I think he has no Idea what Bitcoin is and what the technology can do.

Warren Buffett, the revered billionaire investor, and a crypto bear yet again blasted bitcoin at the annual shareholder meeting of Berkshire Hathaway.
it is becoming more and more interesting that he keeps on talking about bitcoin everywhere these days! and the more buy support bitcoin builds up the more he talks about bitcoin! the question is why? it sure as shit ain't out of the kindness of his heart for our money Wink

Quote
~ claiming Bitcoin is “probably rat poison squared.”

he is more correct than he realizes himself! bitcoin IS rat poison. the "rat" being banking system and the "poison" meaning killing the corrupted banking system.

Also Bill Gates has spoken today about Bitcoin... And of course, not good at all. https://www.c[Suspicious link removed]m/2018/05/07/bitcoin-backs-away-from-10k-after-buffett-gates-criticism.html?utm_source=[Suspicious link removed]&utm_medium=twitter
I respect all these opinions, but I would like to hear the arguments behind those comments. For instance, I read an article written by Paul Krugman with some arguments. Almost they give the possibility to share some points of view or refute other questions. By the way, some media think those opinions have made Bitcoin decline today... I'm not sure about this, but those opinions might gave an effect, of course.

Such statements are very dangerous for bitcoin, and I hope it will not last longer, and it will all work out fine.

buffet is a neufeudalist, he profits vastly from the banking cartel that delivers him "needy money earning cattle"

of course he oppose cryptocurrencies, as cryptocurrencies destroy value of equity and shareholder or property rights

Alright here's what I find weird.

Sure, it looks like he sure does dislike bitcoin. I'm 100% fine with that, as the concept of bitcoin is definitely not for everyone. But does he really have to make negative statements about bitcoin every few weeks/months? I took his first few statements as constructive criticism, but now it's just getting stupid.

But banging on about how bitcoin is going to replace cash every minute isn't?

Well, that seems to be an unfair comparison. People are shilling that bitcoin is going to replace cash because those people are bullish and want the prices to increase. But on Warren Buffet on the other hand, he doesn't gain anything from spreading negative stuff about bitcoin; well, unless he shorted bitcoin or if he's intentionally bringing it down for multiple possible reasons.

I think it is only an ego thing with him. He is, after all, The Warren Buffett, legendary investor who has always told people to invest in businesses that they understand. Understand being the key word here.

Like the article mentioned, he missed Google and Amazon because he thought he did not understand them. Now he calls it a miracle but still doesn't have the humility to accept what it was. A mistake and mis-judgement on his part. This is the typical stubborn, orthodox behavior that these old men clutching to their own ideas almost always have.

I suppose it is too much for him to accept that after things like Google and Amazon, Bitcoin has also spawned which he most definitely, doesn't understand one bit. Imagine the surprise of someone who doesn't 'get' Google and Amazon, on being told that you can now own value without a bank based on mathematics and a huge network of computer nodes.

You don't understand Internet all so well, You don't get Google and Amazon, You have no willingness to go into the nitty-gritty of open source development, You are bloody 87 years old and these smiling chaps with their memes tell you about internet money, which by the way, you are told you have missed buying at 10, 100, 1000 USD all the way and it is at 10K now. What else can you do but shout at the non-understandable madness of it all every chance that you get??

That is all this is for Warren Buffett. A very personal sort of being proven wrong which he simply can't bear to accept. So he does all he can to disparage and trivialize it. But well, who cares!

Please ignore that old guy. He doesnt even know how to use computer or use internet so he doesnt know what is all about blockchain. But believe it or not, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are instruments off whale market makers to crash the price of Bitcoin.

Well, I think Warren is just too scared that his investments in "Banks" will collapse. And he's too old to understand for a new things in life.

When you're low on attention and desperate you end up saying shit. He may be a renowned investor but he's really boring and desperate here, his word are worth zero cents.
he's just desperate to bring down this chain better to take advantage just in case panic holders reacts and sell their coin, grab it and wait for some time to gained good profits.

Yeah, right...he's desperate.
He is 87 years old, has a wealth of 82 Billions!!!! and he is scared that BTC is going to turn him from the third richest man in the us to the fourth.
The guy is so scared of losing his wealth that he has donated 20 billions of it till now.

I really don't see why it's being made such a big deal, forget about him trust me there's been no effect and it won't be there. This news will be buried soon.
Just like what happen from his previous statement, better to forget about this guy and move forward, this man already shown his position about bitcoin and from the past there's nothing change about it, he's just desperate to bring down this chain better to take advantage just in case panic holders reacts and sell their coin, grab it and wait for some time to gained good profits.

His one of my investment hero but now it's getting offensive.

He's old enough and we don't know if he's paid (he's rich and doesn't to get paid) for this or this is his own perspective about bitcoin.

If he really dislike bitcoin, he has to understand the technology but when your competitor is doing well, what you have to do?

Spread false information and attack through the back.

I also believe that if you would have a 1 on 1 sit down with him he wouldn't be able to tell you the ins and outs of bitcoin either.
He don't know what he is talking about bitcoin. I just want him to stop already or one day we'll just read on the news that he bought during the dip?

As much as I respect Warren Buffet (one of the few "normal" billionaires around), I have to say that he just does not know what he's talking about.

What's most likely, is that he is seeing the numbers and sees an out of control bubble economy that will burst and come to an end.
While that will most likely happen, btc itself is not the instigator in all of this.

think about the dot.com bubble during the 90s.
What if a prominent billionare were to say back then, "The internet is like rat poison and will come to a horrible end."
This is obviously ridiculous.
The tech itself is not the problem it is people's uncontrollable greed and sentiment that is the problem.
And that is just human nature.

BTC will not have a horrible death.
Eventually, when the market really does come crashing down, money in crypto will be distributed better and prices will stay more stable for a couple years.
During this time, btc dominance will most likely fall.
The tech will evolve and develop more mainstream real world use cases and things will move on.
