If you’re just watching the game, i think its fine but if you’re going to bet while you’re still a student, maybe it can affect your budget so make sure to have an extra money and you’re on the right age before you place a bet. You also have to know your priorities and know how to manage your time so your studies will not suffer that much.

if you are already working, that's fine. but if a person is still studying, of course, watching all day on the match is i believe not helping in your studies. better if you do your betting if you have nothing to do in your studies, but if not, ask yourself which is more important to you, studies or your betting game?

Binge watching cricket and betting too much can mess with your study game. It's easy to get distracted and next thing you know, your grades take a hit. Finding a balance helps you enjoy the game without sacrificing your studies

that is very true. when you are in front of the screen and been watching, you won't know that the time just passes by. and you will miss some of your tasks to complete your studies. so yeah, before you start binge watching and betting, know what you need to do with your studies. aim not only to pass but as much as possible, get good grades because you can't go back to those courses once you finished. don't regret your actions later on.

It's all just priorities. A student should always choose to study and parents shouldn't give their students extra money for their kids unless it's necessary. Extra money for a student means they can do something out of their school.  It may sound harsh but it's a way to keep them on the right path.

Too early for students to bet on games although they may learn this eventually, they shall learn it with the money they earn themselves not from the money given by their parents. Just look at the kid who took his life after losing the money for the school fees, I think all of us read that thread.

the priority for children is to study and focus on their future, not betting on cricket matches. i'm not saying that watching cricket is wrong; in fact, sometimes children need to rest by watching a game they like, but it's just for entertainment, they shouldn't bet on it and get caught up in it.

moreover, children usually get money from their parents, they should use this money for things that their parents allow, such as snacks, buying books, etc., not for betting and gambling all the money that their parents have entrusted to them. because no parent would be proud to see their child betting all the pocket money they received.

First of all, minors are not allowed to bet on betting platforms and if they do then there itself they violates the terms of betting and losing the money even if they manage to win the bets.

And you said it correctly, mostly kids get money from their parents, and how many kids really want to spend that money to bet?

Men over 20, might get deep into sport betting but at that time they are completely capable of knowing what is needed for them and if they choose entertainment over their future then they are digging their own grave.

Absolutely not, because it provides you with entertainment but at the same time, it also has a bad effect from somewhere because if you watch and bet on cricket all day so you can't find time to study and if you see a test match so it will be more harder to study.

This depends on the person's interest and priority.  Even if watching cricket is entertaining and gives you happiness, it will only be for a moment.  Do not exchange our future for short time happiness.

The study is also important but if you say that Watching and betting on cricket matches has bad effects on study so it's like stupidity because in a day, we have 24 hours and from these 24 hours we can see 4 hours to a T20 match and an ODI match takes 9 hours to finish while a test match also takes 9 hours and also in a year we have 365 days and in these 365 days we had a lot of time to study and you can do all the time study but crucial and interesting cricket matches comes sometimes.

You can do your obligation as a student and at the same time have fun watching and betting on cricket.  All it takes is proper time management.

so many hours will be taken from his studies if he watches them all. why not just bet on the T20 matches? a few only and still focusing more on school.

it will really have a bad effect on the student if he just watches and gambles on crickets instead of focusing on his studies.
but you could already tell a student has derailed from his studies when he engages in gambling before the gambling addiction. the student may already have not passed many exams before his gambling got worse. so yes i would agree the priorities of the student should just be on his studies and if he prioritizes something else like gambling, poor choices in life will have consequences.

But you should watch cricket because it is like entertainment and entertainment is more important than studying.

Not really, we need to know what we should prioritize and if it's entertainment over our future and selecting entertainment then I would call it as stupidity.

I love watching cricket and I do since my childhood but it never affected my studies in any way and cricket matches may happen every day but the country you love may not be playing every day and even IPL only scheduled in the summer holidays of school in India.

The reason behind that is because your focus will be divided to watching the game and studying. Watching the game might doesn’t affect on studying for some people but the average people doesn’t have a mind to easily catch up on studying while they still have the entertainment that they get on watching the game.

I remember during my college days when I’m already taking my licensure exam for my profession. It took me 3 months to review since I need to cover all my years of studying for 5 years in just a short time. I completely turn off all kind of entertainment just to focus on study. I manage to passed the licensure exam and enjoy watching all day long after.

There’s nothing wrong on sacrificing your entertainment in short term for a result that you will benefit for a life time because you can watch unlimited cricket when you graduated or during your vacation.
