I'm not sure what you mean by higher fees? You are required to pay only 0.003 Waves per order on DEX and it's not a huge fees to pay.

If you are really interested, then I recommend you the Youtube channel of the Waves Platform. There are now many videos on how to program smart contracts for Waves.

For instance, in this video you get an introduction how to create, deploy and use smart contracts on Waves.

But you already have to have programming skills and a basic understanding of design patterns, so that you are able to seriously program a smart contract.

good indicator to fix ideas, but evidently does not take into account the waves hold in centralized exchanges (which do not participate to picture)
for exemple binance exchanges waves by the thousands of btc every day, variable amount depending of activity.

Good thing is after the congestion due to Crypto Kitties, Ethereum network upgraded well to prevent the same issues occur.
Personally, I think networks of all projects need problems sometimes (congestions, for instance) to be upgraded and give users better experience. Grin

In the end, small games like these can function as a good stresstest for the blockchain. I am sure everyone can remember how Cryptokitties clogged the ETH network. So even if this game doesn't look that impressive on the first glance, it can be great to show people the potential of the Waves smart contracts.
